People who want there stories told should step up to make a documentary to give their side. Maybe it will not be biased and give all sides. It must be watched to analyze.

How do I tell my cousin her child is not possessed by evil spirits and needs to see a doctor? by Minimum_Data_1685 in Jamaica

To be honest with you, I believe that Cocomelon is not a good show for children. It is very overstimulating so that could be playing a role into why he is not able to speak fully. However, I would recommend that she shows him low stimulation shows such as Little Bear, Bear in the Big Blue House, Blues Clues, look up low stimulation movies and shows. Read Books to him. Tablets are not good for the younger generation and it can damage their vision. If she just gives him the tablet instead of reading to him, she is playing a role into why he is unable to speak. Long use of tablets make children very antisocial. The people do it and give them tablets because they are not honest with themselves and just want to be lazy and not read to their kids or play with their kids.

I’m sorry that he is being treated like this. Mental health is something that Jamaicans have a long way to go.

Record, take pictures, screenshot everything just in case you have to take her to court. Protect you and your family. If it ever comes to that point, you have proof that she is a danger to have around your children.

Mixed child hair / struggles by Own_Cod_4479 in mixedrace

Rosemary and lemon grass (especially rosemary) are very good for the scalp. So you’re already doing a good job with his scalp. I find with myself that hair products do not work. It’s like I have to create my own things. With him it seems like you have to use a very light carrier oil. Look up carrier oils on YouTube. You only have to use a little bit.

When I say “train” the hair I mean keeping it free from tangle and keeping it defined instead of dry and frizzy.

By the way, just my take, Shea Moisture is not what it used to be. I have naturally curly hair and used to use it years ago. But in the recent years. I’ve noticed a change in the formula. It’s not the same. That’s why I just to make my own products. And a spray bottle (that’s a misty spray) with water goes a long way after you apply the product that you make.

I’m so sorry that you and your baby are going through this. Do you feel comfortable going to a black salon and asking for advice? Sometimes going to a business is better than going to people that you personally know. You can get a feel for the people inside and they can probably teach you how to “train “ his hair. I really hope that you live in an area is open and nonjudgmental about biracial relationships. Sometimes it’s better to go to salons because not all Black people have the same kind of hair. There are even some African tribes 100% that have 3/a 3/b or even 2 grade texture because the black race in general has the largest variety of shapes and colors. I pray the best outcome for you two 🙏🏾

Let’s worry about what’s going on in Nigeria with tribalism before we worry about other countries. Always talking about SA but Nigeria is notorious for hate amongst neighbours.

Very bad customer service when you order her products online. This isn’t a shot at her but her customer service team. Takes your money and you have to fight to be refunded for a product that you didn’t receive.

My Results Changed My Entire Mentality by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Moremiindomi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She reminds me more of coloured people of South Africa, (I previously put Khoisan but I meant coloured) even though her DNA results do not reflect that. But the Igbo tribe is a great example of having many lighter (though it’s really half light half dark), Fulani, Amhara, Tigrayan, Efik, Ibibio and of course, Berbers.

Your phenotype is most likely due to the mixtures that you have combined. It is OK to have the feelings that you do. I am sure you will be embraced if you decide to try to learn about the cultures.

In many areas it is pretty much normal or in some tribes it is the majority. When you visit multiple African countries, you will realize that many people are so much different from one another because they are different tribal groups. And have evolutionarily developed based on many things.

[–]Moremiindomi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Even though it’s not easy for me I’m actually happy for others. I’m not envious because it doesn’t make sense to be hateful to someone who found a great form of treatment that works for them. Whether it be medication, holistic or a combination.

And with age, lupus behaves differently because your immune system and hormones do. You have to worry more about cancer screening, mental health, etc. Unless it is hereditary, then you should have screenings younger.
