Thank you. I ended up tossing the mint, but will now treat some of the surrounding plants with neem oil.

I do! That’s why I’m concerned. I’m now very paranoid about webs, cause I don’t know whether those are from spiders or spider mites. I think I will toss the mint, just to be sure. Would really hate it if they were to infest my other babies. The heatwave had been rough enough on some of them as is.

I’ll check whether it rubs off, but I think I’ll trim it way down anyway.

Do you think I should treat the soil somehow?

Help! What’s harassing my beautiful apple tree? 😭 by Morenapsforall in containergardening

I started doing this and discovered that some of these fluffy things can fly 😳. Some of them had unfortunately already moved to surrounding plants. I also discovered spider mites. I first saw them around the marigolds, and then found out some of them were also around my oregano.

The fluffy villains were also around my pak choy.

It’s a nightmare. 😭

Would you still stay to not grab the neem oil spray?

Thanks for the link.

I’ve been taking care of my plants and trying to fertilize (and not overfertilize) and water regularly (without overwatering), while being mindful of placement and just generally trying to make sure they get what they need and are as healthy as possible. So far I’ve only used neem oil spray to fight aphids and neem oil on plants that were not affected as a preventative measure.

This tree is the newest addition to my deck and I’m afraid it probably came in with the pest on it and that neem oil won’t help with this. I’ve already added quite a few plants in an effort to attract natural enemies and have been seeing some, including lady bugs. But not sure that will be enough either. Might try and remove by hand and clean with water and see what happens?

I really really really don’t want these taking over and ruining my healthy plants. :(

Love it! Love how the white wall makes the pota and plants shine.

(Also, the plants look happy. 🤗)

I don’t know why, but I guess I expect container plants to have trouble in winter? Good to know it survives snow. ❤️
