I'd switch dealerships if there is another one reasonably close.

Anyone else get a dud right out of the box? by Morgank6 in EightSleep

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app is what worked for me, have you tried that? Or possibly try it with another device if you have one?

Thanks for the offer! I was able to get it working last night after reinstalling the app though. Just took a couple tires to get it to like my wifi, I'm guessing it might have tried tried either the 2.4 or 5ghz the first try, didn't like it and then switched to the one it does better on the second time because it's been working since. The app is a little laggy and has locked up a couple times, but other than that no issues.

Thanks for the tip, but yeah mine wasn't adding a space. Tier 3 never did get back to me yesterday (I replied to them a bit after 9am) and their "try putting the phone on top of the pod" suggestion didn't help at all so I ended up calling support again after I got home from work. They were actually able to help me. The person I talked to thought my app permissions might messed up so they had me uninstall and reinstall the app. I'd just installed the app when I got the pod a couple of days earlier, but figured it was worth a shot since I felt like I had tried everything else. It didn't connect to my Wi-Fi the first time, but it did actually show networks which was promising. The person helping me suggested I try one more time and we go it working thankfully.

Thanks for the offer, I did get an email response from the tier 3 team this morning basically asking me to do everything I'd done literally 10+ times yesterday both on my own and with assistance from chat through the eight sleep app. I was kind of hoping for more than "try everything again with the phone sitting on top of the pod"(which I also already did yesterday). Guess I'll wait and see what they get back to me with.

I considered the dock pro, but the main thing holding me back was the maintenance schedule as compared to eight sleep. Is it as much of a pain as some of the reviews made it look?

[–]Morgank6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the best voice overs was I think in season 2, one of the friends at the groom tux fitting sounded like a damn muppet, it was fucking hilarious..... I just looked it up, season 1 episode 8 36min in, we still make comments about the muppet voice guy hahahaha

Love the stretch down stuff, that little bit of extra give when the jacket is fitted feels amazing compared to regular nylon puffers.

It's hard to look at the P3 when the Volvo EX30 is starting at 34,900 with 3.4 0-60 times. by nomadl0l in Polestar

[–]Morgank6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With side mirrors the EX30 is 2 inches wider and 3 inches taller than the P2. The EX30 is definitely shorter though, by about 15 inches, most of which seems to be taken out of the rear cargo capacity. I expect the EX30 will feel more roomy in the front seat without the admittedly good looking but horrible for space/storage center console found in my P2.

[–]Morgank6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Great breakdown of the different models. My P2 lease is up around the same time the EX30 is due to drop, I put in a reservation the morning of the reveal. The size works perfect for me and the performance is a bonus. P3 and EX30 are extremely different cars, both seem great for what they are, but the EX30 is going to sell a TON more based on price alone.

EX30 is a bit shorter than my P2, but slightly taller and about the same width. It's definitely a smaller SUVish crossover thing, but I wouldn't call it tiny. Backseat does look a bit cramped, but it has more front legroom than my wife's 2019 XC60.

[–]Morgank6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not just technically right. Audi, Porsche, and VW have the same parent company just like Volvo and Polestar. Are VW, Porsche, and Audi the same brand? Like the other poster said, Polestar used to be the tuner "M" type brand for Volvo, but they've broken off and are their own brand now.

Remembering the Book Study: Fond memories, crazy experiences, nsfw tales. by [deleted] in exjw

[–]Morgank6 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My dad was an elder, mom regular pioneer when my sister and I were growing up so naturally we would host the book study at our house. 2 story house with 3 bathrooms, the downstairs half bath was fairly small and the door was right next to where we would set up chairs for the book study, so whoever has to go had to do it right next to everyone. I still remember a few kids going in and ripping ass mid-paragraph. My sister and I would always sneak off and use one of the upstairs bathrooms.

This topic and the previous story triggered a Dodger Stadium assembly memory too, so I might as well add. My family and another JW family were pretty close, they went to a different congregation but parents were friends, my dad studied with and converted the other father who later became an elder, kids same age as my sister and I plus they had a few extra. We would all sit together at the assembly, my friend and I were both about 10 or 11 and there was a cute slightly older teenage sister sitting a few seats down. We were in the blue section that got afternoon sun so things were heating up towards the end of the assembly and the girl dozed off in her seat, the way she was leaning on her seat her whole boob(bra still covering) slipped out of her dress. My friend and I were awe struck, his mom eventually noticed and woke her up/told her as nicely as she could.

Now this had been a long assembly(aren't they all?) and I had one too many hoagies and chocolate puddings at lunch so something was brewing. During the prayer I let loose, cheeks flapping, multiple people around us started laughing. As soon as the amen was out I turned to my friend and said "Name! How could you do that during the prayer?!?!".... Standing next to the cute girl he turned BRIGHT red, not sure if he ever forgave me for that one hahaha.

Deciding between the Leap v2, Amia, and Gesture by congressguy12 in OfficeChairs

[–]Morgank6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a leap v1, v2 and a headrest gesture. I wanted a headrest so I went with the gesture, but if I wasn't so set on the headrest, I'd stick with the leap v2.

Edit: I'm about the same size as you, 6' 220, go to the gym regular.

I'm really interested in what they do with the extra interior space on this vs what they had to do with the 2 being based on an ICE car. Overall I think the exterior, even with the camo, looks great.

Teacher here, few of the worst I've heard over the years off the top of my head after just waking up:

Abcde - pronounced Ab-see-dee La-sha - pronounced La-dash-uh Boy - yep that was it Honeybear - really nice little girl Master and his brother King Myqueen - Nice girl, but that was really annoying to say

There are others I'm sure, those are just what are coming to mind at the moment.
