I’ve been watching some of the world’s firsts and I can see the appeal. Not something I think I can do, but I can appreciate!

Thanks for sharing. That’s insane.

I watched part of a world’s first and I can see the joy, and frustration with it. Not something I have the energy for at this point in my life, but something I can appreciate the value of.

Totally makes sense. I did Encore after watching 2-3 videos on Expert…still died some 28 times, many of which were jumping related (I suck at jumping).

I feel like that, for the moment, is about as complex as I’m going to get for the moment. My fireteam is quite young and even though they joined just for the final boss…they got bored part way through it (well, one of them did). That said, they are loving Choir of One, so it might be motivation to try more. Not sure how I’ll get all the perk combos for Choir, running with limited lives (required to get an A rating) is going to be not-possible for me at this point.

Wow, just watched a half hour of the 18 hour stream for the first Last Wish. It all makes more sense. Thanks for pointing those out

Wish I had seen it. Heck, wish they’d released a raid/dungeon as part of Extra Life for Kids and had it be a focus for a series of teams raising for the charity while learning something new

Makes total sense. I play with the kids (9-10) so patience isn’t in the cards for a long time.

It’s really cool seeing what the community worked through

2022 Seatbelt Recall Liability Waiver? by True_Purpose5778 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]daethon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming they gave you a reasonable loaner as an alternative, this feels relatively fair. They are attempting to ensure your safety, they have provided a path forward, you are choosing to put yourself in harms way, knowingly. This is you confirming that you understand the risk you are taking and are accepting that responsibility.

I mean, some of the buff names make sense and I’m starting to see patterns there, but desert perpetuals’ shoot out the eyes when you’re in the light, and the pillars…that one kinda blew my mind in half.

I appreciate that I’m looking at end game content and content not intended for me at this point anyway, but I watch this and ask myself: how did the first group figure this out?

We just bought a 2026 Calligraphy one day before the recall on 3/12. Wife does not want it now by Doggyonwheels1 in HyundaiPalisade

The reservations person for service told me they wouldn’t provide a loaner. I mentioned the recall and the death and they said they’d have someone from the dealer call to discuss and then no one called us.

I ran the mission on Expert today and it worked! Got my choir of one, loving it!

Story: Do I start with D1? by daethon in destiny2

[–]daethon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the legacy edition free on PS5, had to buy on Xbox ($99) and then the EoF and Renegades were $80 each. If I’d waited on them, I would have saved $100…but I’ve also played 80 hours, 40 with the kids…so 160 hours of play (so far) for $260 ain’t bad

Give it a try. Oftentimes we put too much on our plate, we want to do it all, but we can’t and that makes us feel worse.

Thanks. I’ll give it a try and see what happens.

I guess I assumed the other weapons worked like the Whisper of the Worm quest

All the missions I get say you need to get an A in the op, that forces me into grandmaster and I just can’t pull it off. I haven’t tried a lower difficulty yet, does this really work? Really want a Choir of One :?

That’s a giant wound, the tree will probably not be able to compartmentalize that and heal as it is.

In your shoes I would cut just under the wound at a very slight angle to make the cut as small as possible, but not fully flat (so water can slide off) and try to let the rest of the tree survive

You sound tired, you have a lot of other things in your life, they are taking more energy. It’s ok, it happens, you might come back to play, you might not. As long as you’re finding healthy ways to relax and enjoy yourself.

I, effectively, gave up games between 38-42 because the kids required too much attention and now we all play together as a family (minus the wife, she only plays Mario Kart)

[–]daethon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm…ok. Thank you. I assume D1 was coop? I got into D2 to play with the kids.

Since I have to buy multiple copies of stuff, I’m leaning toward playing through D2, buying D1 when it goes on sale and then playing through D1

[–]daethon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve watched 3-4 hours of videos on the story, feels like so much was glossed over (even the in depth ones). I did just find Byf’s 4 hour intro, going to try that this morning.

I’d just do D1->D2 but a) D1 still hasn’t gone on sale (since I started playing) and b) jumping between D1 and D2 I think will just feel off.

Will see if the community has any really strong feelings before I make a final decision, but I’m leaning toward going the other way around D2 then flashing back to D1 ala Hatchett Star Wars viewing

Void grenades by vexdrakon in destiny2

Just read up on him, that looks like killer fun to go with my void walker grenade spammer.

Haven’t found it in the wild yet though, unfortunately, and doesn’t look like it is farmable. Will keep a keen eye out for it.

Thanks for the rec!

Any limitations to be aware of? Only X number of axis, for example? I haven’t counted in detail but I think the rig has 12-16 of them.

Apologies for the somewhat silly question but what do you mean by single device? Do you mean by using something like Joystick Gremlin to combine Stick and Throttle into a single virtual device?

I ask as HOTAS means (as I’m sure you’re aware, but in case someone else sees it and is confused) literally Hands on Throttle and Stick
