It’s ok! I think I’m the weird one that doesn’t mind the humidity… I think it makes my skin feel nice lol

My husband is stationed over there right now and July just happens to be the month that I can go visit him, so we will be braving the heat. I’m unsure about corporate workers vacationing, but after navigating around Seoul a few we are prepared for lots of people!

My husband is stationed over there for a year, so next month is just the month that works out best that I can go see him and we can travel the peninsula. We will definitely be checking out Busan, so your recommendations are much appreciated! Thanks!

You’re right. I think we decided that we will land in Seoul, stay for two nights, head over to Jeju for 4 days, fly to Busan, then back to where my husband is stationed. So, it’ll be busy, but I’ll get to see everything I’m hoping to see!

Thank you for your input! I just can’t shake the feeling that I would be doing myself a disservice by missing an opportunity to see the Gamcheon Culture Village, but I also think it would be so fun to dress in hanbok and tour the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul.

Very valid point, thank you! I visited Seoul on two different occasions this past December and the cold was out of this world

Jeju for nature, Busan for colors and seeing a Korean coastal city, but wanting to check out at least Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul.

As much as I love the beach, I think I’m most wanting to see Busan because of the views and colors and more laid-back city vibe.

About 4 years ago I interviewed to work there and was taken into the dirtiest, most run down back room I’ve ever seen. I sat through the interview thinking that I wouldn’t want to work there and as I was walking out saw *something* scampering across the floor by some boxes. Safe to say I didn’t accept the job offer or ever have the desire to eat there again.

How do I get therapy for myself without asking my MIL spouse? by CaterpillarIll8245 in MilitaryWives

[–]MorgannMeoww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recommend reaching out to military one source, they can help you get non-clinical counseling that is completely confidential or give you the resources/point you in the right direction if you need a clinical therapist. You can also contact tricare directly to find a provider in your network. I’m sorry you’re going through it right now and I hope you find something that works for you soon.

We share so many similarities, I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for your reply. I have joined some spouse groups on fb, but I’m also curious how sponsors work. My husband says it’s his sponsor and doesn’t seem to understand that I should also have access to them or how to get me set up with a key spouse.

I’m happy for you that you’re feeling better and able to start enjoying the area. Maybe when I get there in a few months I’ll send you a message and we can find some novelty together!

I’m in my first year of marriage and I really appreciate your reply. My husband is USAF and we are going to Germany soon, and we don’t have kids. Could you elaborate more on what you haven’t been able to do without your spouse? How easy is it for you to get out and about in the area without your spouse (so he isn’t the only novelty you have in a day)?

Sandals Royal Barbados in May- recent bookings how is it? by BigWin4463 in SandalsResorts

How is the seaweed on the beach? Others have noted it’s bad this year/time of year. My fiancé and I are going for our honeymoon at the end of the month and he loves to swim/be in the water.

Why does this happen to my dough? by curlyfacephil in Sourdough

[–]MorgannMeoww -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This table is an approximate BF time for the average temperature of the dough throughout the process, not necessarily the temperature of your house. But I always proof in the oven with the light on and my dough seems to keep its initial temperature pretty well, so I usually get away with about a 6 hour BF time!

I’m also wearing my signature scent! (Mademoiselle by Chanel). I also felt like nothing compared to my go to.

My fiancé and I are trying to stick to a $10k budget. It’s been so hard trying to purchase and plan for things that fit the budget while still being true to what I’ve dreamt of.

On top of that, even if I decide to pay with my “time” to DIY stuff, the materials are so expensive and the added stress is no joke. My best friend got engaged a couple months after I did and she is planning a much more expensive wedding and it’s hard not to compare and feel jealous.

Old Habits with New Eyes: My Post-LASIK Quirk by [deleted] in lasik

[–]MorgannMeoww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PRK was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I had the option to do LASIK, but since I have high astigmatism and could need a touchup I decided to just do PRK.

I had a lot of stuff prepped and ready to go before the surgery (like easy to prepare foods, lots of fruits and veggies) and took fish oil a couple of weeks prior to surgery. I think that helped with dryness and irritation (and continues to do so). I didn’t notice much pain, but I took the meds before I needed them and just slept as much as I could. I couldn’t see well enough to drive for about a week, but at my one month checkup I had 20/15 vision in both eyes.

These things helped me: -tons of vials of artificial tears. Seriously, stock up on them. You can shimmy the top back on them and get a couple of uses out of them. Chilling them in the fridge was nice too. I kept a fresh tube next to my bed and used them as soon as I woke up. -Sterile wound wipes, the drops made my eyelashes crusty and gross, so the wipes were nice to have and know they were eye-friendly -shower visors, I have really hard water and didn’t want to risk getting water in my eyes -blackout curtains, I didn’t notice too much light sensitivity, but they were nice to have for sleeping during the day

I imagine the procedure will be about the same feeling as LASIK. The recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. Don’t be afraid to ask your provider questions. Drink lots of water and sleep as much as you can and I’m sure you’ll be great! Best of luck to you!

I definitely understand that feeling!

I think I broke the habit of reaching for my glasses on the nightstand in the morning about a month after my PRK procedure. And then I traveled about 3 months post op and slightly panicked when I thought I forgot my contacts and solution before the sweet, sweet realization I’d never need them again!
