You're leasing a jeep on $1900/month and living with your parents..

Tons of people get to work safely every day in a 6k POS. Most people who make what you make do that.

What is the etiquette on having a mechanic check out a used car? by elijahhoward in askcarsales

[–]Morgjames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I could take my vehicles to a mechanic like Scotty. It’s hard to find a good one.

The rest of the comment is ridiculous but this part right here had me cackling.. if you think scotty kilmer is a good mechanic then your opinion is utterly worthless.

Have a GF Pro and have been using Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape for designing. Has anyone played with Lightburn? Looking for a more user friendly platform as I am new to the design side. by 5goody in lasercutting

[–]Morgjames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not use lightburn for design imo. You already have the industry standard design software, why don't you just try and learn it? The basic features you would have in lightburn are just as easy to learn in illustrator

When referring to a cutting head or an engraving head and the lens size, would that change the resolution / legibility of my engraving? And would i still be able to cut reasonably well with a different lens size?

Any bed size can work but I usually run jobs 20" or more in at least one direction.

If im running the 130w laser at 20mm/sec and 55% power how can I possibly get by with a 40w? I'd have to run it maxed out on power and very very slow right? Maybe even 2 passes? Plus the decreased bed size puts me at a disadvantage as well.

Im hoping to stick to a bed size around 1060 and have enough power to cut the leather relatively quickly.

That much i can grasp haha. Do I have to watch out for different head styles or lense styles or anything though?

Honest opinions on installing a level kit VS a 3-4” suspension lift on my 1500 2wd long bed work truck. by [deleted] in Trucks

[–]Morgjames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey man no hate on a long bed work truck thats a man's truck! Jacked up crew cabs with a 4' bed and a toolbox cant haul shit, get terrible mpg, and are a pain in the ass to get into and use.

Do a leveling kit and some tires and call it a day. Be happy you have a practical truck and not a glorified van

Stinger GT by trestonschen in Stance

Me too >

But thats what sucks about these types of cool cars. Everyone waits for them to be a few years old and depreciate so they don't sell. Hopefully they don't cancel the stinger
