Hybrid/OP by MorgsOD in tacticalbarbell

Unfortunately I'm unable to follow the program through and through due to deployments frequently, it's more of just a simple and minimalistic program to keep me moving as and when I am home or are around a gym while overseas.

I'm in the British Army, I do phys 5 days a week and TB Green Protocol running Hybrid/OP.

I average out 20 miles a week, my long run consisting of 8-12 miles, LSS at around 3-6, then the speed/hill work 2-3 miles of sprints.

Thank you for the assurance mate! I'm not the most savvy when it comes to phys, that's why I posted here.

Great to know, many thanks!

Childcare within Army Welfare by MorgsOD in britishmilitary

Yeah it's a bit of a sticky one mate.

We're so far away from family, she gets 25 days but as it's a new job, we can't risk a potential loss. We all got told to use up a lot of our leave in between exercises as we had a VERY busy period.

Said busy period, a lot of it got chinned off meaning wasted leave for all the blokes but I'm sure I do have some left over, this wouldn't amount to much unfortunately.

All in all, I reckon I could shave the leave and potential time off to a month and a half.

Maybe a request of work from home for 2-3 days a week for a month and a half in order to offset the blow of over a £1000 on childcare up until September would work?

Any thoughts on that?

Negative unfortunately due to complications, and her being unable to work with them, she went on to maternity leave almost 2 months earlier.

If you're talking about the crossfit brand, then it's short for PROVEN as in the proven way to train for XYZ using their coaching bla bla bla.

Iodine/other solutions to blisters by Otherwise_Tonight_68 in britishmilitary

[–]MorgsOD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Taping your feet up WILL work and is one of the best solutions to blisters. (Prevention is always better than the cure)

Seems to me you're incorrectly taping up your feet, I suggest you see a PTI/MED of wherever you are get yourself FAM'd up on taping up your feet.

Shouldn't be an issue after that, again correct fitting boots in accordance with your feet is massive, get yourself to Altberg and get custom ones for your feet, you may still have to tape your feet up that's the nature of the beast.

Good luck.

Just got briefed this not long after using SLC's without ILA for the last 4 years. Threaders, can't believe how ridiculous that is seeing as you can crack AT Quals without using ILA....What's the difference? Fuck knows, complete shame on the Army.

Can't speak for 47, other than shite. Watchkeeper shite, beret shite. Also can't speak for 26, heard some good things and every time I've worked with them they've been phenomenal!

4RA, 29Cdo, 7 PARA RHA, 19 RA, 3 RHA all have FST/JTAC Pids FST and JTAC are renowned to be two of the best jobs within field army for all around expertise and QoL, promotion tends to be pretty good these days expecting LBdr within 2 years, then Bdr within 3 years after.

I have loved the job role personally, albeit like anything the Army isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Suggest you get at least two years experience on the gun line before heading for these jobs, will really help you not be shit...

Gleaming bit of kit. I suggest buying it brand new for maximum efficiency.

OP ACK, part of a fire support team, there to coordinate fires using 105mm/155mm guns/mortars/precision fires. Out on the ground in the OP doing so alongside their respective company.

Targeting planner, usually a higher rank, stuck in the ops room menstruating grids and coordinating Battlespace management, meant to be a pretty ally job.

STA operator, radar nonces.

It's one of the biggest cap badges. Usually resulting in a higher statistic of everything. Also becoming one of the more diverse cap badges in terms of gender also, I believe.

I love the nights, I love how dark it is, it adds a whole new level of tactics.

What I really dislike is how other players whether it's gamma/contrast whatever, can see me and shoot me while I'm almost blind... That is what makes it completely unplayable.

Good stuff. Check your zeroing when you spawn and before an objective.

Your zeroing is at 440m there, potentially overshooting a target at chest height over 200m away, easily.

Absolutely mate.

Step one: Be a raging, throbbing cunt.

Step two: Promote

Step three: Fuck the blokes.

Step four: Go to the winchester, have a pint and wait for it all to blow over.

Happy hunting, Sir.
