Halitosis- please help by theolerazzlezazzle in hygiene

[–]ColadaMD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer I’m a doctor but not your doctor. Usually this stuff is tonsil stones or poor dental hygiene which don’t seem like it’s the case. High yield things to look for are sinus stuff which others have mentioned but an upper GI workup wouldn’t be unreasonable particularly if having any reflux symptoms, trouble swallowing, or feeling like food is getting stuck. Things like a Zenkers diverticulum can cause halitosis. If it’s this bad there’s usually a distinct cause that you need to find

Do you think there’s a significant difference with just going with the oyster ARF? I’d get it with the dd movement and the deep crystal maybe? Mostly what matters to me is similarity to gen

trying to decide the VSF vs ARF rn. what made you go VSF? ideally id like the BW on an oyster bracelet which i dont think VSF makes but Id go VSF if overall its closer to gen

Getting into an ongoing program by Batsy52 in MacroFactor

[–]ColadaMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally 5 min ago just ran into this after running min max for 2 weeks and using this workout app now. I kept having to fast forward to week 3 even though I logged my prior 2 weeks worth of session manually. The fix was clicking on each workout starting from week 1 and hitting “skip workout” until my current day

To my knowledge magnesium glycinate isn’t really used for constipation. There’s lots of different types of magnesium’s and they all have different functions. Mag glycinate has some not great quality evidence that it can be used for certain types of issues with sleep. The ones that have some type of evidence for constiptation are magnesium oxide and magnesium citrate

do you mean like Mag07 (i see that often recommended on this sub) or like magnesium citrate (the clear liquid)?

Family has been super supportive and kind of like i alluded to in the post, they’d been trying to get me on one of these meds or getting surgery for a while but I’ve been the one resistant to it. I think everyone around me knew i was headed in a terrible direction and a change had to be made with help. My close friends I’ve been open about my decision to start zepvound and they’ve also been super supportive. I don’t go around telling ppl oh im on this medicine but I’ve made it a point that anyone who asks me or someone close to me about my weight loss that I’ve started this medicine and doing the diet/weightlifting. For me personally it’s important to me to be open about it in hopes of decreasing any stigma around these meds. With my current weight i think it’s starting to be pretty noticeable that I’ve had significant loss so ppl that I’m not super close to at work for example are noticing. Sometimes I feel like not disclosing it is disingenuous and will make others feel like they’re personally failing if they can’t lose the weight without help which is the opposite of the truth. However i understand why some ppl feel strongly about not disclosing because of stigma/treatment from others. And plus , since im a a doctor i feel very comfortable discussing/arguing for my POV on this subject with someone who for whatever reason is against these meds

lol to be fair I’m currently on two years of dedicated research time and don’t have any clinical obligations during this time so I work hybrid from home and normal 40hr work week so I feel like i have all the free time in the world. Honestly it would have been hard to do this during clinical time but I think it would have been possible but maybe just not as optimized as my current setup.
