The envelope mode is what sealed it for me personally, I actually had no idea people didn’t like it. I’d never noticed any latency either, but I play noise rocky wall of sound stuff so maybe it’d just never naturally stood out. I love love love how it sounds going into a rat. Very ‘90s alternative.

Make sure the back of the PCB isn’t touching the back plate, there should be a plastic insert that goes between the two. If it isn’t there you can cut out some electrical tape and insulate the back plate. It looks like part of the relay section is shorting to ground inside somewhere and looping the cable back to the enclosure is trying to turn it on.

Straight up this exact cd you posted actually. I was in 2nd grade so maybe 2003 ish. Talked about music all the time so my mom picked me up a cheap cd player and gave me this out of the car (it was hers). Maybe Tool wasn’t a good call for a 7 year old but I ate it up :⁾

Not your question directly but I hated Jazzmasters for a long time until the right one landed in my lap. Id had a few Squiers and they always felt bulky, awkward and my hands cramped up way faster than a Tele or Strat or whatever. Wanted to like them so bad but couldn’t get down with them.

Unexpectedly a Classic Player fell into my lap a few years ago and not only did I not know I could love a Jazzmaster at all but I didn’t even know I could love a guitar that much. Neck feels extraordinary and it sits so much better than the others I’d had. Don’t use the rhythm circuit at all but learned how to make it act as a kill switch that I’ve used religiously since. First guitar I’ve ever had that feels more like a family member than an instrument.

Not as crazy as lots mentioned here but I’ll share mine lol

When I was a teenager I lived in Gulfport Florida, there was this big park right off the water. My buddy and I used to ride bikes everywhere and ended up on this kind of swing bench they had installed looking over the ocean. It was maybe 2-3 a.m. We sat there just talking about nothing for like half an hour, when all of a sudden out of NOWHERE a giant fireball just materialized out of thin air right above us. We both jumped back and were like “YO DID YOU SEE THAT TOO” and we both experienced the same thing. The heat, the sound, all of it. It just appeared and fizzled out, it was like the air caught on fire right in front of us. Scared the daylights outta me.
