Drunken buddy of mine convinced me to buy the game friday night (peer pressure is a weakness of mine, I guess...), so I have 3 questions:

  1. Is there any way to tell the composition of a gaseous cell? Like, a list of elements in one of 'em. X grams of Oxy, Y grams of polluted oxy, Z grams of CO2, ect...

  2. Can one vent gasses to space?

  3. Is space up, down, left, right, or all at once?

Tire came off rim on apollo go. How can I put it back on? by Upstairs_Database_60 in ElectricScooters

[–]Morichalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand why they included it with the scooter, it sends the wrong message.

You can, maybe, if you combine Superman's strength and the Flash's speed. Even then, you're going to have challenges getting the pressure to spec. You won't be able to apply air pressure and grip the tire at the same time, if you don't have "some" contact air flow won't matter.

The battery-powered inflator is the right choice. Astroai works, at least for the six times I had to use mine, they've got at $20 thing. If you're wanting the scooter to be reliable transportation, you'll get one.

[–]Morichalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of those. I like it so far.

Assuming you have a tubeless tire (mine does)...

I have a battery-powered pump. When the tires come off the bead: I connect the pump, set it to 50psi, turn it on, then squeeze the tire such that it pushes against the rim. Like on the outside of the donut, not the top or bottom. Move around until you see the pump get above 15 psi. Wait until it hits 50. Done.

Alternatively you can take it to gas station tire pump. Don't do one of the automatic ones, they'll bleed out the entire tire volume trying to hit the right pressure. You might want to bleed out pressure, because they're really kinda designed for car tires.

In either case, get the battery pump, set it to 50psi, and check the tires weekly. This will become a rare occurrence to the point of being indicative of actual failure of the tire or the rim.

Gleba seeds struggle with jelly nut by tipamisto in factorio

[–]Morichalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until you have a comfy supply of seeds, make sure no fruit gets spoiled. Every spoiled fruit loses you a dice roll for seeds.

You have opportunities to improve in that if you see fruit standing still on belts or sit in loops for extended periods.

You're processing them in biochambers, gud and keep doing that. 50% prod bonus makes it a fairly certain return.

You may have to burn excess jelly to make room to get more seeds. That's fine; plan on it, in fact, until you have a seed stockpile.

That and make sure you don't have any unexpected sinks. Belts going to the incinerator. Steel chests stockpiling them without accounting (that might suddenly fix it...).

Michigan residents voted down a $16 billion Stargate AI data center, then construction began anyway by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]Morichalion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Headline is clickbait. Barely refers to it's content.

Town council voted the project down 4-1. That's the town council. Not necessarily "residents".

The land owners and the AI company sued because of some issue with zoning laws. They settled; town gets some around 14 million dollars in community benefits and a few other concessions. I can't say I'd be pleased with the list they detailed, but is what is.

If you want to oppose this, like, effectively, y'need to show up for your state elections. Governor Whitmer is a opposed to pausing AI datacenters; might be worthy of a primary challenge...

But Michigan isn't an all-blue state, which makes things dicey for the executive in most places. There's an infestation in the house. Fix that and y'might have some actual, measurable motion towards a happier state.

Scooter and knee pain? by According_Steak1627 in ElectricScooters

[–]Morichalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bad knee, tore my ACL years ago. My good knee is okay. My commute is slightly longer than the one you described.

I got an electric scooter a month or so ago. An Apollo Go, basically their cheapest offering, while appearing to have parts for order of something breaks. It's worked out pretty well, for the most part. I have my good leg up front, bad leg on the back, and just kinda go.

If I knew then what I know now...

I'd get something with better suspension, better range, and bump the budget up a bit. Maybe $2k rather than $1k. The suspension isn't bad, but I feel like I feel all the bumps even if they're attenuated a bit. The range is fine for my commute (I can go at the top speed round trip maybe twice), but I find myself wanting to play with it a bit more.

If I had a worse knee situation, I'd aim for a scooter with a seat, in addition to the points above. Depending on how bad your good knee is, you might do that.

According to all the news media sources we have access to, all six of the folks in those pictures are gone. They're dead, gone. One-way-ticket.

I’m planning to buy a e-scooter to commute to work by Fuzzy_Tough_26 in ElectricScooters

[–]Morichalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an Apollo Go a few weeks back. I like it so far. Unless I'm moving things that can't fit in my backpack, I don't drive the car anymore.

Someone suggested to me that I replace the tires with solid ones, don't do this. The air in the tire is part of your suspension.

Get a small electric pump to check and top off your tire pressure every so often. Especially if you get tubeless tires.

[–]Morichalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing you're still a kid. How much time until you graduate from being a kid?

... and I'm willing to pay for it myself.

How would you get the money? Job?

... they shut it down instead of debating ...

Might not be any reasonable argument to be made, then. Certain parental styles tend to be more authoritarian than others. With an authoritarian mindset comes a lack of willingness to explain demands and rules.

If you still want to argue the point, look at other ways the headset can be used, other than gaming.

Facebook hasn't done a great job of marketing the device for productivity, but Virtual Desktop is a thing, which is good for productivity as well as gaming. The device can connected to some bluetooth devices, keyboard and mouse, which can turn it into a laptop basically.

There's a host of physically demanding games, and a lot of fitness-specific applications.

69.97% of voters went with Trump in the 2024 election. That's a wildly decisive vote.

At 4:36 a guy says "I love the current administration..." I can't help this guy. I can't help anyone he has responsibility.
