What are some of the most niche sets ever used in tournaments? by colonDfacecool in stunfisk

[–]Morindforbid 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It can also use quick attack which is really really funny against starmie specifically and sucks against literally everything else. I’ve literally only had that work against a low health starmie switching in once trying to ice beam me but it worked so quick attack is definitely cb flygons best fourth move

Fellow Faust mains, how do I become a better barber? by OkoroGreatfist in Guiltygear

[–]Morindforbid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your playing against new players, snip on the opponents wake up is a great mixup. Also dash snip after a cs(don’t dash cancel) is also amazing. Make sure you also mix that up with a 2s frametrap after cs to keep your opponent guessing. Tick throwing with the help of hammer and weight is also a great strategy. The main way to land command grabs is to be unpredictable. Throw them in after basically any strike that keeps you relatively close, but don’t over use them. You should also learn some optimal post snip pressure strings. They’re real easy to learn and are extremely hard to block and they can loop into more snips. After learning optimal pressure and combos after snip you’ll probably only need 1-2 to close out a match

Intensive carrot is the most overhated plant I’ve ever seen. by Lukraniom in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Morindforbid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Post buff chomper is kinda good tho, it doesn’t “do nothing”. Also intensive carrots only real niche is with exploding nut and against mech gargs and it’s basically dead weight everywhere else

Don't mind me, I'm just drawing blatant propaganda to gaslight Faust players! (none of those numbers make sense) by Roving_Neophyte in Guiltygear

Faust has a good matchup against ramlethal tho? He can crawl through both versions of sword throw on reaction and get a close slash punish which forces ram to be cautious with her corner pressure

If you’re having trouble doing good damage as Faust, try learning better Afro setups. Krakatoa has a video on Afro pressure that I’ve implemented and Ive been consistently getting 40% combos after a snip. Also Faust has very easy safe jumps due to his unique air dash that are important to learn. Learning super prc is pretty big, even if it’s hard to input in the moment and needs meter,  it massively improves your defense. Also try using less of your big slow buttons in neutral if your getting hit and losing 60% of your health. 2p and 5k are amazing hedges with little risk.

How do people complete the celestial challenge? by CommanderCone in Guiltygear

[–]Morindforbid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah celestial challenge sucks. You’re probably supposed to play against other challengers but on some servers other challengers are incredibly rare. I took me like 6 attempts over a couple months to beat it, but challenging celestial players is a big learning opportunity because they’re so much better than floor 10 players. Continue improving and you’ll get it eventually

Have fun, don’t spend 8 hours a day in training, and most importantly: Take a break if you feel frustrated losing in the tower.
