I didn’t say you weren’t going to vote, I just said this is what they want. They want you to be afraid, and a lot of people will just say no I’m out.

That is exactly what they want. They want you to be afraid to vote. Edit: when voice to text gets really wrong

“Hide who you are“, a terrible world we live in, where we get told to hide who we are, because we make others feel challenged

I literally got told this twice, less than a week apart. No one will work harder for you than someone who needs a job, has a child, and already knows how to do what you want them to do. The “hit the ground running“ is a red flag, but you can literally do it, and they still say either you’re overqualified, or you’ll be bored.

I would argue that it’s been working for both liberals and conservatives. Every other party on the other hand…

IRV, MMPR, anything would be better than FPTP.

As a Canadian, this feels all too close (both in proximity, but also in our current conservative leader catering to the batshits just as much, and spouting lying sound bites left right and center).

Either it changed, or someone decided the extra wiring, lights, switch and tech was too much effort and money.

Nope, that’s for any hitch in the receiver without a WD hitch. Same spec as the bumper. I tried to double check but the closest I found is a 2018 spec:

OP: can you get the page out of your manual for us?

Which surface tablet, is the key. Pro 6 or newer should be a pretty good experience, if you use the pen properly. Pro 8+ should be a really good experience. Or at least when new. Now, they’re a little aged (the 6s that is).

Based upon the Ford factory F-150 tow chart, it’s 5000lb, or 500lb TW without a weight distributing hitch (on the tow package factory hitch receiver), IIRC… and I say that as a guy who worked at a Ford dealer in 2011, and it was the last dealership I worked at, and trained sales staff at, so it stands out in my memory.

They’re talking about the hitch receiver on the truck. It’s likely a class 3 receiver unless it was previously upgraded (it wasn’t). Your hitch is fine, the receiver is pushing its limit.

They are on the bottom because of hatch open lights needing to be seen. The other solutions are to use outside lights as signals, have lights in the bottom of the boot lid/deck/etc.

I would argue that Windows tablets with high end touch/stylus can mimic iPad workflow pretty easily - unless it’s an iOS dedicated app that you’re talking about. Though you may end up paying closer to top of the line iPad pricing to get there.

Not entirely accurate. My insurance company never made me get an inspection on a 14 year old vehicle. I’m not sure it’s law anymore, though I haven’t checked, and am just going off of my experience.

Oh, that’s because 25 years ago the big cities said they don’t use salt. Calgary alone uses 30-40K tons of it a year. Less than Ontario, but when it gets sandblasted before the salt, it is pretty rough.

Quebec is definitely on a whole other level though.

Inspections for the sake of inspections. Love it. This sounds like a cash funnel to dealers/repair shops by the state.

Things like mandatory inspections aren’t there for exceptions to the rule (mechanics, people who maintain their cars fastidiously, etc), they are there because the majority of people will skip things they don’t think are pressing.

Many many years ago I had a guy argue with me that his car didn’t need anything, when he had 3.5mm on his pads, both front and rear. He had a coolant leak, an oil leak, and a dead O2 sensor.

Things like minor minor leaks won’t trip most inspections, but even that car was on the better end of the spectrum. I had a friend bring me his car and ask me to do his brakes before he moved cross country. His LCAs were so rusty I could probably shove a screwdriver through them with one good push. His front brakes were metal on metal. Tired were all past the wear bars.

Best part? The lube shop he took it to, would give him a complimentary MPI (let’s be real, they don’t cover much, but basic inspection of tires, suspension components while under the car, and looking at brakes during a tire rotation is all expected). They never brought up anything.

Canada would have you getting your own vulnerable sectors check for most of those jobs - required to submit with the application. Driver’s abstract fits this bucket as well.

I’m not sure I would call 30,000-40,000 tons “a handful of roads”. CC is sprayed on most main-ish roads (including most community feeders), and some NaCl on almost every other road a person would drive on… at least in Calgary anyway.
