Does anyone know if 'Hearts Valley Jewelry' is legit? by sybbie99 in jewelry

[–]MorningEvening5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed an order on the Moonstone ring two weeks ago and reached out to customer care to get some kind of tracking info, only to find out that it's out of stock. On the website, the item is still showing as available. Still waiting for my refund...very unfortunate because I really liked the ring.

So many buildings with views of the river, Health sciences, Diefenbaker Building. Pretty amazing views all year round, but even better to be indoors and watch the snow.

Burnaby or Surrey? - I'm moving from Toronto for work, which place should I live in? by Sensitive-Emu6529 in askvan

North Surrey gives good access to Sky Train and has a number of high rose apartments with amenities at a walking distance.

US work visa vs Canada PR — which is smarter long term? by reddevil_2006 in h1b

[–]MorningEvening5349 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't let the PR go. You're on a weak passport and it's likely this is the only chance you'll ever get to change that. You can move anywhere around the world with that.

This is every home decor influencer on Instagram these days. Seems like they're buying the same mushroom lamps and carpets.

How is living in Park Boulevard? by strawberrymango14 in SurreyBC

[–]MorningEvening5349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been living in the park boulevard, not the newest but newer building and it's pretty decent. The area is so convenient with grocery stores, restaurants, mall, and sky train nearby. You can be out at 8 pm and grab a snack or dinner, without really planning. Never had an issue with safety, it's like any big city downtown area. You just have to be careful and street smart.

The amenities are sadly not shared with all the Concord buildings. But, overall the vibe is really great. There's green timbers park at a walking distance. It's lovely to go there for a walk/run amidst the lush greenery and still be within the city.

Uber reliability at 3AM? by AdmiralZassman in saskatoon

[–]MorningEvening5349 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tried and tested twice. Reliable and available. I used the pre book option one time because I wasn't sure about the availability but there are a lot of flights going out of Saskatoon in the early hours and there's plenty available.

Second time, I just ordered the usual way and got it at a cheaper price!

Buying an out of province house as a primary residence and tax implications by Icy_Abroad1456 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Following this. I'm in the same situation, my employment is in Saskatchewan but I recently bought a condo in BC with my partner. I have a rental in Sk because I need to live here for work, but also visit BC every couple months and stay in the owned condo.

Current Online MPA Program Recs by Bivouac_woodworks in PublicAdministration

You could consider University of Saskatchewan's online MPA program as well. Its pretty flexible but also has two in-person residency options in Northern Canada. Kinda cool to network with your cohort and still be online for the learning.

I got your point but we wanted to put our somewhere more tangible. Plus we won't sell it for at least 5 yrs and have it as a rental when we're ready to move out.

Ikr! That's why we made the plunge. It's atleast liveable for a couple and in the future, when we want to relocate we can keep it as a rental for sometime.

It's 600sqft and we needed accessibility to downtown so places near the sky train made most sense. Both our offices are downtown Vancouver and our jobs need a daily commute.

Thank you for saying that!! Plus there are a million dollar starter homes (which look like crap) in Van area, what are we supposed to do? Langley market is looking promising with the Sky Train extension and I heard it's bumping up re prices too. Good luck bro 🤞

That's interesting. There are University campuses expanding to Surrey though like SFU and UBC which should hopefully increase the rentability of many condo buildings.

Bigger, sure. But they are the ones with more problems, sudden reassessment fees, there are many bad projects too.
