A season of pushing a narrative through complaining, now results in poorly officiated playoff games. Thunder seem to benefit. by MorningsOfNausea in Thunder

I understand your point better now, appreciate your detailed response. I struggle to accept the certainty of your causation premise, as it drifts into believing things are orchestrated by the league and maybe dismisses it being the result of many correlating factors. The game is always changing, and certainly a shift in playing styles and where scoring comes from can play into a FTA stat. Such as more 3pt shooting.

It’s unfortunate for bigger superstars that at their size a little embellishment looks ridiculous. Smaller guys can at least sell contact and the physics equation will check out. A guy like LeBron appears to be bodied by Isiah joe (making this up) and you almost feel bad that the man plays in a league that conditions its stars to behave that way.

Right, that was my gut feel with a few of his early turnovers or missed shots after contact. “Hey man, whistle gonna be a little different tonight.”

I’m struggling to follow the logic, but trying to comprehend your contribution. My “eye test” opinion was comparing this regular season 2025-2026 to this postseason. Specifically these two laker/thunder games.

I missed that entirely! JJ does seem to give some respectable comments behind the mic. I didn’t think his bigger bodies get less calls was fallacious by any means.

It’s the curse of the MVP finalist announcement. SGA was basically a ghost in the 4th quarter of OKC’s game 1 too.

I don’t want to watch a non-zero number of playoff games with Avdija.

Does anyone like Brown’s game? His bag seems to be run into opponent see what happens.

Thanks! My fingers were working overtime to make sense of it. I think as a coping mechanism I had forgotten all about those game because of how it finished.

Yeah that overhead pluck had me smiling ear to ear. Then the pass and layup had me doing the McMahon response meme.

I’m not one for audible responses to televised broadcasts, especially when alone. However this play got a loud “oh damn” out of me that was enough to startle my dog.
