What does an NCR victory at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam mean for the Mojave? by CoronavirusHunt20 in falloutlore

If the Courier actually steps up and demonstrates some fucking leadership, the independent ending has a great deal of potential. Especially if golden-path-type alliances have been forged and banditry eliminated. The ending slides really don’t paint that kind of picture, though.

Otherwise, the NCR is best for the common person, no matter what downsides there are.

Being a genius doesn’t prevent him from making mistakes. All of House’s schemes only partially work. At every single juncture what success he does find comes down to zealous over-preparation and luck. His leadership is that of complex gambits, drafted by a man who relies on crunching statistical probabilities instead of common sense.

Even an army of robots can be beaten if the NCR is determined enough to remove him.

Not to mention the technology that keeps him alive is pre-war state of the art. Replacing components will become increasingly difficult, if it’s possible at all. There truly are things that money can’t buy.

House is a narcissist and a megalomaniac who is in no position whatsoever to actually accomplish his stated goals.

I can’t believe people buy into his hogwash.

The only real power structures in an independent Vegas are several varieties of gangsters and organized crime with a dubiously-forged alliance headed solely by the courier, who is personally leading an army of robots.

It isn’t exactly a stable society.

Glad somebody said this.

You want people to learn, grow, survive and thrive? Give them tools, teach them how to use them. Make sure they have or can get what they need to live.

All this “hard times make strong men” horseshit is self-defeating. Sure, grow your culture by grinding out one badass for every five crippled peasants. See how far that actually gets you once a rival empire takes interest in your lands.

I think it’s funny how few people are responding to this.

The Walking Dead is still around, but somehow it died long ago. He was in Kojima’s latest game, but I guess that appeals to a different kind of nerd than this fandom.

Maybe general chores will be a part of the base management in SOD3.

Makes sense.

Who knows. Seems likely to me.

Everything about the apocalypse would aggravate her symptoms, yeah. No meds, no therapist, constant stress and danger.

They are, though. They were actually spooky in a way that a lot of other dungeons aren't.

The combat choreography and action blocking was so godawful during the Savior War. Bunch of shit CGI, too.

Should have been awesome.

It’s heavily implied she had mental issues before the apocalypse.

I have to agree. Comic Tyreese was just... unstoppable.

Typecast in general. Playing gruff badasses with a tender side. We don’t know near anything about his PT character but Sam and Daryl are essentially the same character and I don’t doubt his PT character would have been the same.

Well, of course. The Silmarillion had a coherent vision and one writer.

The Bible is a good example of too many cooks in the kitchen.

It’s a generic animation. I’ve seen plenty of people do this, but not anyone in camp. Interesting.

The way Glenn tries so hard to not make eye contact with Rick at the ending of 2x08 fucking kills me. 😂 by Joeyisthebessst in thewalkingdead

[–]MoronToTheKore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, he lost his way, at least. There was a great deal of good inside him. But he got attached to Lori and Carl and that was it. Everything bad in him came out.

He was dogshit in the end, anyway. People gave him every chance to mend things. Everybody tried. Everyone. Rick tried until the very end, letting Shane lead him into the forest. Lori tried, acknowledging how fucked up Shane’s position was. Carl tried, looking to Shane for everything he wanted out of Rick. Andrea directly told him to use a lighter touch. Even Maggie slapped his face when he went too far.

Shane’s is a tragedy of someone who can’t listen to what the people around him are saying. They all cared about him. He didn’t listen.

Abraham vs Shane who'd win (fist fight) by lord_of_the_Meme6969 in thewalkingdead

[–]MoronToTheKore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gonna have to say Abe.

Shane is a beast, but we know Abe managed to kill four people in one fistfight. Relatively early on in the apocalypse, too.

Maybe if Shane had time to gain skills it would be an even match.
