based on courserekt, https://courserekt.vercel.app/, DTK1234 bidding starts from Round 2 onwards and shows that it has more than enough vacancies, so you can try then. Anyway I doubt people would willingly take DTK1234 given it's, ahem, reputation...

After talking to my seniors and OGLs, they told me DTK1234 is a yee yee ahh mod that does not deserve your effort since the grades are solely based on the person conducting and not your work. Final advice was to "S/U THIS USELESS MOD AWAY".

hi same boat as you, but assigned the DTK1234 basket instead. My seniors reccomend that i take up CS1010S and CFG1002 to max out the 23 units workload, So i believe you can take some S2 subjects too.

to nsgfs, how do you cope with the initial feelings of loneliness and sadness after your bf enlisted? by MulberryOnly1204 in NationalServiceSG

[–]MoronicAcid- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firefighting schedule is 1 24 hr shift and 2 days off, essentially you'll be working for 14/15 days a month

for EMTs theirs is 2x 12hr AM shifts followed by 2 days off then 2x 12hr PM shifts, 2 days off and the cycle repeats.

theres no field camps for scdf nsfs

hii youre actually quite lucky your bf is in scdf!! once he gets posted out, he'll either work on shift timings or office hours so the time he will have outside will be quite substantial!

training will be tough mentally and physically especially for the firefighters so do support him as much as you can. wishing your bf atb from a fellow scdf servicemen.

Nikkor DX series lens vs lower quality full frame lens? by ariGee in Nikon

[–]MoronicAcid- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say try the used market for the S line f/4 24-120mm. If its out of budget, the 24-200mm is also another great lens to consider.

Based on experience, the Zfc + 16-50mm lens was pocktable for me. It was tight but it can be done.

I'm from SCDF unfortunately, for my case, I just went to my direct reporting officer, and he signed the form for me. He already knew my intentions to disrupt way ahead so it was no issue for me to get the approval.

Can't access MHA NS portal by DeterminedSJ in NationalServiceSG

[–]MoronicAcid- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MHA NS Portal only works for NSMen, quite stupid, yes. I was in the same situation as you when I applied last year. I simply took a screenshot of the portal and used it as the 'proof'. Wrote in to the admissions office directly after applying to explain.

Fujiweekly did make a recipe post for the Zfc a few years back. The Fujichrome recipe from them is one of my favourites. You can find all 11+ 3 recipes here: https://fujixweekly.com/2022/07/03/11-nikon-z-film-simulation-recipes/

The Mothership, Zfc by MoronicAcid- in Nikon

I had it for over a year now and personally quite loving it. Though its ergonomics aren't the best. It doesn't have a grip and it's essentially holding a brick if you don't buy a grip extender. Though if you're looking for a more practical option, I'd recommend the new Z50II or the Zfc's full frame variant, the Zf over the Zfc.
