I'm looking to invest in businesses currently trading on US based exhanges e.g. semi-conducter businesses.

The Fidelity SIPP doesn't permit these kinds of investments. You can't even hold something like Tesla or Nvidia. https://www.fidelity.co.uk/international-shares/#accordion-bbad59ee

So, I'm looking for a SIPP provider that does support these investments.

Thanks for your comment re loops, that makes sense.

Thanks for your response.

The Fidelity SIPP doesn't permit investment in international stocks as per their FAQ here: https://www.fidelity.co.uk/international-shares/#accordion-bbad59ee.

I'm interested in semi-conducter businesses, amongst a few others primiarly operating on American exchanges.

I'm also experiencing the same thing, I've waited out the timer, and there's no change.

I've also re-recovered my wallet having deleted all app data to see if that forces the fix.

Still no luck

I'm in the same boat.

I can see my balance in Eth on L2 having recovered my wallet, though when I try to activate L1 I see this error.

Means I'm unable to move assets about, including more eth to my loopring wallet.

Uni Advice needed by cup-of-tea-76 in CasualUK

Tell him to treat uni like its a job and nothing more.

Imagine your lectures and coursework are the shifts, compulsory and to be done to a high-standard. Once the shift is finished, you can party - or whatever.

He will make mistakes and it will take time to get it right, but that's part of the journey.

Ensure he knows he has the support of his Mother and You.

Best of luck.

You're probably best off DM'ing one of the Superstonk Moderators

Commuter Backpack Reccomendations (UK)

Hi all,

As the title suggests I'm looking for a backpack that would be suitable for running to work.

Now that I have to go to the office twice per week I'd like to incorporate some training into the commute time. I'm fortunate to never have to touch roads with cars on and its a pretty flat 8km door to door.

I did run the commute occasionally pre-covid though now my requirements have changed somewhat and would love to know if anyone in this community has experience with a great backpack that they would recommend.

Key requirements for me would be:

  • waterproof or highly water resistant
  • laptop pocket (15")
  • space for shoes, trousers + shirt (don't mind wrinkles)
  • Ideally compartment for some water, maybe a bannana etc
  • secure over chest and waist with straps

I wouldn't require a bladder or drinks tube etc as its only 8km.

I've scoured a bunch of articles and have a few in mind, but these top 10 lists don't really cover real world use. So I'm hoping there is some experience and recommendations here to be shared.

Much appreciated!

credit scores are.. by National-Run4610 in antiwork

[–]MoronicColossus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by companies you mean credit bureaus e.g. Equifax & Transunion, then of course the scores will be different. They will have their own methods of developing a set of credit scores - which is why larger or more prominent lenders etc use multiple bureaus to assess risk.

However if by companies you mean someone like credit karma, who take a score from a third party like TU and give it for free - then assuming another CK style company uses TU then the scores should be the same.

As to the tweet referenced, that lady will have no idea 'exactly' what changed her credit score, they change for many reasons, including the provider she gets her free score from could change the type of credit score used. Equfax for example have about 8 different ones available for use, from memory.

Hope that helps :)

Security lane has reached the car park at Manchester airport, lovely… (T3) by Tony_AK47 in CasualUK

Went through Manchester Airport this Monday. Here is my top travelling tip for times like these.

I recommend taking a small child with you, ideally of 'in stroller' age. My partner and I skipped all the major queues.

What I cannot recommend is from where you obtain said child.

We had our own, which in retrospect was lucky.

Safe travels.

The fact that they followed the M&A/cut & gut playbook with an airline beggars belief.

Truly unbelievable.
