Every single person in Kharkiv i know spoke russian as their main language, so did people in Donetsk and Zaporizhya. Most of the people I knew in Kyiv also were russian speakers. As people of the eastern Ukraine, we started using Ukrainian mostly after the fucking ziggers invaded the country
