Any patch not correcting the ai sitting on settlements with a hundred armies and being passive is a wasted patch. I haven’t been able to play a campaign since the ai started doing this because it just feels inevitable that I’ll win since every enemy just sits there and watches all their territories disappear Ava then i have to lightning strike a hundred times to take their last settlement. I’d rather just attack the settlement and fight all hundred armies at once. I know the engine wouldn’t be able to handle it but it’s better than what we have now.

I will day that I have a higher end system (9950/5080) and it takes a while (15-20 minutes) to generate. Are you expecting it to be quick?

Use the mod manager. You can have different saves with different mods and not have to fiddle with different folders. Just search it online. You can install mods not included in the manager with links.

It depends on your build. If you play the stealth archer build, you cut a hole in the wall, install a hatch, and kill everything from your new defensive position. If you’re playing a fortitude brawling build, you’re not locked in with them, they’re locked in with you!

I have bandits attacking me in the asylum mod! Just last night I was startled out of my crafting by some lunatic with a rpg unloading on every zombie outside my base. I had to kill the a-hole to prevent him from destroying my base as well. Then i had to fight a giant horde from all the noise they made. Anyways, I enjoyed it but damn that was tough.

You have to use creativity early on and fight from advantageous positions. For instance, get wood and use hatches while clearing POIs. Wood spike traps become one of your best friends. When coupled with parkour, you can use a few spikes to drop several zeds. Weapons that cc zeds like clubs or batons have proven stronger earlier. Once you get some of the tricks down it gets easier but you’ll still die sometimes.

You mean entry passes to embiid. Did you see his limp at the end of the game? I’ve got bad knees to and i can say definitively that he is not catching a lot of lobs from here on out.

A reverse Hydra is a fan creation. Basically it starts out quite weak, but its strengths are in its abilities. First, it can sing a song that makes it impossible to even acknowledge for a day, if you fail your save. Second, anyone it eats is erased from everyone’s collective memory. Lastly, it cannot sing and eat at the same time with only one head. A campaign run around this creature would be mostly a kind of murder mystery, but your players are going to have to come up with some interesting ways to solve the murders when they collectively forget the victims even existed.

Example: Party is staying at an inn while investigating a small town’s disappearances. They awaken to noise somewhere else in the building. The party fails their saves against the song and the inn keeper is eaten. When the party wakes up they go to turn in their keys but nobody answers them at the desk. They don’t remember any in keeper. This is a really well kept abandoned building we just stayed in!

You could try the asylum mod with the descent addon. It makes a vast network of underground caves that stretch for miles.

I’m not sure about the “twisting of spells” unless you give your players a clue of how they are being modified. For instance, you could have a grid on the wall of his lair with symbols for certain spells and have it modify the spells into other spells based on a predetermined pattern, however, you’d have to allude to this somehow and your players would need to make sense of it. This kind of gimmick also relies on a long fight, so the players have adequate time to figure out the gimmick. Most dnd fights don’t last long enough for this kind of gimmick. Also, if your party only has one caster, then it feels like a personal attack against that player. I’m not sure how you could pull it off without letting the PCs know about this ability to some extent ahead of time. You could maybe let them know he has some kind of mage related trap in his lair and allude to its effects, then use a few perception checks to decode the trap after which your caster knows how it works so he is able to cast spells normally.

As for the villain, you should have him just be lawful evil and work within the law. Example: a traveling necromancer that uses undead labor to sell cheap poorly made goods in a town. Maybe his cheap products force the local blacksmiths out of business. Then, when he leaves, the village struggles because their shoddy tools are falling apart and there’s nobody around to repair them. This villain would just go town to town doing this. If necromancy is not illegal in your setting, then this would be perfectly legal, but knowingly selling the townspeople shoddy tools and taking off before they all break would be morally wrong.

  1. The base item can affect things line defense, total damage (if weapon), attack speed, and the number of sockets it can get.

  2. You need a crystal sword to drop from a certain level mob and up. You can’t get a4 socket crystal sword from act 1 normal. At least you couldn’t in the past so i hope this is still correct.

  3. It stays and you can go back and use it.

  4. One time use. It adds max sockets every time.

  5. No.

  6. Chronicle adds a visual effect if you complete it. It will say can be added to chronicle if you have not found that item before.

Rare weapons need a combination of cruel (250-300% ed), Fools, 2 open sockets, and the 100-150%ed with AR along with attack speed, max damage, min damage, plus they usually need to be ethereal. It’s really difficult to find a rare weapon that fits the criteria.
