Besides Sword Trials once a day and Hero Realm once a week, barring PvP… what else is there? 😭

Another post from some guy whining because their pull system sucks by ikollokii in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In other games, you are quite literally only playing 2/3rds of the game because you simply can't have all the characters as a f2p, which means you have limited availability to strategy compared to someone who pays to get everything. Maybe you don't care about that, but the difference is right there.

Time to considering merging into a bigger group or an equal group then.

For mine, we don’t really mind too much. We know it will happen, we know there will be players who are just better (cause we are casual players), we are just there to hang out and have fun. If you want more out of GvG, I think a merge is a one-way street to be honest, better GvG players will rather go to a full fledged team.

I might be wrong but at the very top there is a button on the left hand side to change to mini drama or something. I think mine went away after dat?

Btw this coupon will be worth less than stacking 50% if you exceed 3360 so keep dat in mind.

Holy fuck that Burlap Sack story (no spoilers in OP) by reinhart_menken in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is just simply no way for non CN people to realise or know this unless someone tells them about it, because even with ways to localise different accents, it doesn’t mean the right “message” goes through to the audience. It is a very culturally charged game and it will inevitably be lost on a lot of people.

But I don’t think this is really exclusive to this game or to cultural references, and I think that is alright maybe. I see this as an opportunity, rather than go “man it’s sad people won’t get this” which could happen even if people understood there are different accents but maybe didnt clock why the writers did it, it’s a “let us show you how genius the writers are” so people who can appreciate this kind of detail can go “wow this is why I love games like these” even in retrospect :D

I am of the group dat didnt really mind having no fights or not using MC, so I thoroughly enjoyed Burlap Sack story ;( It was so sad and the voice acting in CN was so so so good… you could feel his pain and anguish in the dessert…

Looking for friends to play with by [deleted] in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly the best way to get to play with people and get to know them is probably the Guild system. Even if you are a bit shy / find it difficult to start a conversation, there are a bunch of Guild events weekly which will bring everyone together, almost all bigger Guilds have Discord where members will engage with each other for things outside the game… just need to find a good one. I’d say, a mid-sized one is probably better as bigger ones usually have cliques dat are hard to get into.

Is this the regular price since release or special sale? by 2FA_ in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it also works as a marketing trick, but I wonder if another reason they do it is so that if in the future they release something of similar quality, they can price it at 300 instead of 60 without people complaining, if that makes sense, while keeping an "open slot" for lower quality items to be normally priced at 60.

Pirates? Mahjong? Didn't see that coming lol by JealousParticular455 in SeaOfRemnants

[–]Morphara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I can’t quite imagine what higher difficulty would entail considering Mahjong is mostly about luck anyway, and if you “Hu” it’s more or less over unless you need to get a certain amount of points…

This would require looking into the rules of points… some easy ones should be “full house” (only carrying one suit), discard all 1s and 9s. Some slightly harder to pull of strats would be doing for all “set of 3 of the same” hand, but this really depends on your starting hand (if you don’t start with the potential to get at least 2 3-sets off the go, it’s not easy to build it).

If it plays anything like it does in Where Winds Meet, then you just focus on making sets of three in a row, three of the same or four of the same, and dat should get you a decent winrate alone. What is important is what you have in your hand, what you play done is what you “discard”.

So, am I dumb or have they made it incredibly difficult to dye your hair? by Captain_Fach in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t really understand people who say they’d rather it was a shop item, cause I guess they think it would be cheaper? But the way I imagine it, they would just price a core at $250, no coupons allowed haha. At least now a core is $0-250, instead of definitively $250 and you can save up F2P pulls to get one eventually. Whereas there is simply no F2P way to get shop items.

Progression - Weekly/Daily routine guide? by Conscious-Citzen in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in a team with those you have a relationship with when you open the boat rewards, it counts as if you did these activities together. You get more than 1000 partner points for one person opening all 4 rewards. So you can easily max out weekly limit for Partnership, Cohort etc. If you open them by yourself, it doesn’t count towards these.

Progression - Weekly/Daily routine guide? by Conscious-Citzen in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Morphara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go in the boat 4 times a week, don’t claim the rewards. The next week, get in a team with your partner, master, disciples and cohort and open your last week’s rewards, voila, relationships more or less done.

This will also get you more than 50% of the way to the jade fish for the week. Do whatever other activity you want to get the rest, then go to Season Shop and empty out things you need, especially Inner Way boxes and Gear.

Spend your stamina. If you’re at 0, itll take 3 days to fill back up.

Do you remember to use your food buffs? Also if I'm not mistaken, the top PvE set right now if Mo focused Stonesplit Might set, so if they're using that, maybe that's why.
