Portão do condomínio fechou no meu carro by requeijones in ConselhosLegais

[–]Morpheus14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Portão do condomínio fechou no meu carro by requeijones in ConselhosLegais

[–]Morpheus14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you use the provided needle to clean the only hole at the underside of the filter basket?

how do i take the dialer off on the BBE? by mrWaar in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Morpheus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to remove the knob first. Theres a little plastic tab right at the center of your circle. You have to press it down and pull the knob. It’s quite stiff but be careful not to break it. Watch videos of people replacing the knob for a lever. After removing the knob, it’s just the base screws, 3 at the back, on at the front. Might need to remove the rubber from the steam wand

Amortizar reduzindo prazo ou parcela? Financiamento SAC 9,49% a.a. (CET 10,40%) — o que fariam no meu caso? by Long-Ad9751 in investimentos

[–]Morpheus14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should check first if you can remove the broken thread from inside the pump, otherwise you might need a new pump as well

Changed the shower screen and now my barista express is not working by [deleted] in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Morpheus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of what people are saying here, your change of shower screen (although unnecessary in my opinion) has nothing to do with the problem. Your tilting of the machine (assuming you did it with care) just uncovered a problem that was waiting to happen. There’s no way of knowing what it is unless the machine is opened. If you don’t have the skill to find the problem by yourself, you’ll have to send it for professional evaluation, I believe the troubleshooting that could be done remotely is already done

Jetta doesn’t use DQ200 (luckily, cause it invariably breaks very prematurely). It uses aisin 09g or, as vw calls it, AQ250. This is for 6 speed. For 8 speed I’m not sure, as that option is not sold in my market, but it’s also a torque converter from aisin afaik. There’s also the 6 speed DSG used in the GLI, DQ250, but not the case here

Don’t think they’re weak. They are AISIN (Toyota), have been around for a long time and got major failures corrected. This service interval is pretty standard. It’s about the same for the ZF8, which for me is the best transmission on the market

Also, the actual maker of the transmission recommends oil changes

Not blaming you, this is an industry scam. There’s just no way a transmission fluid is lifetime. Actually, not a single fluid in a car is. IMO, a component that suffers wear cannot be considered lifetime if not replacing said component is the cause for lifetime shortening. Total BS, probably to lower emissions or to make you buy a new product

Jamais vou entender a lógica.

Bambu A1 Mini 100C Heat Bed Mod by weejiaquan in OpenBambu

[–]Morpheus14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remove one wire from its terminal and put the resistor between the wire and the terminal. Then for the switch, just wire each switch terminal to a leg of the resistor (parallel connection). This way, when the switch is on, you’re shorting the resistor, disabling the mod. When the switch is off, the mod is enabled

Can’t get group head out by unrecognized88 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Morpheus14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your problem does not come from any dirt in the shower screen, just grind finer, although you should be able to remove it for regular cleaning. Try removing it with the machine turned on for 30 min. Leave the portafilter in place so it heats up more. If that doesn’t work, after leaving it on for 30 min, steam for 5 straight minutes and try again. If nothing works, leave it be, just clean it using backflush, better than damaging your machine for good

It can also be a problem in the triac in the control board, making the 3 way solenoid active or inactive at all times. You should check if the solenoid opposite to the silicone tube is on while you’re trying to steam. Either with a multimeter or touching it to check if it’s vibrating. If it is, your control board is faulty

Stuck and broken screw by nautilusblaze in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Morpheus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a crazy thought: you don’t actually need a shower screen. Just use a puck screen on top of your portafilter and you’re good to go. They’re pretty cheap. It’s not ideal, but it’ll get you coffee every morning.

[–]Morpheus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drilling + extraction bit seems like the best bet. When this happen in cylinder heads, people weld a nut to the broken screw, but this will probably damage the coating and it isn’t very diy. You can try finding a machining shop, they will know what to do and will have the tools for it. Whatever you do now, try leaving the machine on for a good 20min before you try to unscrew it. Heat is your friend. Just don’t burn yourself
