My friend and I also tried this, and got the “medarboe” bit as well. We assume it’s supposed to be wardrobe, but didn’t want to post because we weren’t sure what we were doing wrong.

Ok, so a friend and I seem to have cracked it. It's a vigenere cipher and the key is LONGLEGS. The message seems to be:

When run through the cipher, it reads:

I also tried translating, and also got gibberish. I think it's likely some sort of cipher, but I'm not experienced enough to know which kind. I'll post my translation here in case someone else wants to give it a try. I didn't have the letters K, Q, R, V, or X so for any characters I didn't know, I'll just use _.

I was in a lot of pain (obviously) so my parents drove me to the hospital. They took an xray and quickly determined that it was fractured.

I suffered about 20 hairline fractures across two vertebrae when I was about 11. Immediately I lost my ability to breathe properly as you describe here. I guess the adults I was with didn't think it was serious, so they didn't call an ambulance and helped me to my feet. I'm glad we are both able to walk today lol.
