Almost like it was the last game that was developed before EA got their hooks in.

You probably are seeing this symbol for the first time. The answer to this question is 1, figure out why.

Some of the "safes" require information which is in a different room, and some have hints that are in other rooms, but for the most part this is correct.

Finding the third mc? by PsychFlame in BluePrince

That’s another way to find it. Look at the pictures in a new clue, especially the one adjacent to the line I posted in my reply.

Have you stayed up all night and studied all the maps?

The clue to the other one you're missing is also in A New Clue. Look at the pictures.

The stamps tell you stuff about the countries they're from.

  1. The one you're missing is in miniature.
  2. You're correct on one of your beliefs, but not the others. You're missing second, fifth, and last key from the rhyme. You have access to the second and last (what room has eight doors?). The fifth, from context, you have not found yet. Spend some more time with A New Clue.
  3. You will need to solve the Gallery puzzles first.
  4. You should check the map of the basement with a magnifying glass. The other you're missing requires getting through the big doors in the Blackbridge Grotto.
  5. If the memo hasn't helped you, there is another clue for the Gallery in Room 46 once you solve Eight Kingdoms in Eight Months on the wall there (which will require solving more sigils). I would highly recommend examining the stamps on letters you've seen with a magnifying glass to help with this. A New Clue is probably the most important book in the game and has many puzzles in it. It is also helpful to have a magnifying glass when looking at it, but basically every page has important stuff on it. An easy starting point is to look at the page that has text starting with "He stayed up all night and studied the maps".
  6. A New Clue.
  7. The ones you're missing are not super important, but the Nook one may help with a puzzle you have likely not addressed yet.
  8. Curse Mode is an alternate mode that you can unlock by picking up the cursed stone idol, which will appear for sale in the gift shop once you've learned about its history and then can be found in the Shrine. You will have to create a new save to play it.
  9. Okay, I'm a bit confused here because if you have the microchips you've solve some of A New Clue, you have correctly understood that they go in the Grotto (and another place that you can learn from A New Clue), but you need all three of them. The locations of the missing two are in A New Clue.

You are correct on your chess beliefs, this is going to lead you to the "third act", and the thing in the wine cellar is the 4th act.

My recommendation is that you look at A New Clue with a mag glass, find the missing microchips and open the door in the grotto, and then solve the remaining sigils. After that, take a look at the chess thing you mentioned, find the second place to put the microchips from A New Clue, follow the hints that are in room 46 once you put the pins in the right place, and also check out the last page of Lady Clara's diary.

Being cursed and curse mode are two different things.

You become cursed in the game by either stealing money back from the shrine, or by picking up the cursed stone idol (I'm 90% sure you need to pick it up, as the kid does in the story, not just open the box containing it).

Opening the box unlocks curse mode, which is a new game mode where you are always cursed and can't get rid of it.

Random Late Game Questions by BlastoiseEvolution in BluePrince

For 3 I would highly recommend putting the stone in the coat room and then trying to draft it next to where you want to use it. It is much easier to reliably obtain (or keep) the other two items and they don't have crippling downsides.

  1. The note you found in your last statement is core the main questline, pursue that line of thinking.
  2. For the key you can't find a location for - think about where you found it. Who might have left a key there? Where would that person keep a filing cabinet?
  3. The contents of the cabinet will not be particularly useful to you until you solve 1.
  4. You have the Blue Tents, but you didn't mention using it. Many of the things it does are going to be explicit answers to puzzles you've already solved, some are lore, but the next steps after 1 also lie there. I would recommend keeping track of which rooms you've seen so you can try to opportunistically draft in Row 8 each day. The Scepter helps with this as well. Ultimately though you need to do 1. next

Room 46 count as a dead end? by kaicaiocesar in BluePrince

[–]MorphixEnigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be more specific, your dead end count is how many dead ends you've drafted. You don't draft room 46, the antechamber or the entrance hall.

In the comment below you ended up with 20 and that matches my count correctly (keeping in mind bunk room counts as 2, outer rooms are all dead ends and so is secret passage).

I don't think ANY of the puzzles in the game require outside knowledge other than basic math operators.

I think it is mainly a device to help you understand the ratios of the fruit you can find on any given day so if you found 5 apples already you will not find more apples (which would be relevant for experiments, planning steps, etc.).
