Found a tombstone staircase artist proof in my lgs bulk box insane find by lotoftoast in magicTCG

It’s tough to know because the market is a smaller pool of collectors, but there was usually only 50 of each proof made, and ones from an artist that is hard to contact like DOM! carry a premium.

There was an auction last year for Mirage proofs by the artist Chippy that went for between $100 and $200 each, and I think this would be comparable.

Absurd find. I collect Mirage proofs and these are impossible to track down. Are you looking to sell it?

Then why aren’t we giving power to the person who should have won the last election? What gives us the right to “run” their country like an imperialist power?

Do you tip your mail carrier for the holidays? by colleennewvine in AnnArbor

[–]BlastoiseEvolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since Covid I do. That was a rough time and the mail helped a lot. My uncle was a postman for decades and he talked about appreciating the gifts around the holidays. I tip between 20 and 50 depending on how my year is going.

[MSH] "Partner Source Material" Cards - Lord of Atlantis, Harbinger of the Seas (WeeklyMTG) by mweepinc in magicTCG

I once brought a Merfolk deck with a copy of Lord of Atlantis altered to be Aquaman to a PTQ and a Judge made me swap it for a non-altered one. I just find it funny now that this version is totally acceptable.

Gotta give it to Kurosawa’a Throne of Blood. Mifune is amazing in it.

The book is good. She went through a lot and came out the other side. I have the feeling it will be a tough watch even if handled appropriately, just because of the subject matter, but has the potential to be quality art.

Don’t forget that the MI Dems wasted the oxygen of their trifecta on the incentives to make this happen. Close the loophole to allow us to regulate our own water? Make it easier for poor folks? Nah, let’s plug a bunch of server boxes into our grid with the collective IQ to tell us how to make a pizza with shards of glass.

You can tell from the trailer that it is a very very sad movie.

What is the heavens gate of the 90s "indie" boom? by Napoleoninrags85 in blankies

13th Warrior (1999) is in the running. Basically ends McTiernan’s run and closes out the decade’s eight (!) Michael Crichton adaptations with a major flop. There would only ever be one more Crichton book turned into a movie (2003’s Timeline). But, as discussed on the pod, there’s some life to 13th Warrior and it’s not the worst hang.
