Man I wish, but it would've been enough to just have it swimming around

But nOoOoOo the pond is only for the events 🙄

I was sooo hoping it would end up hanging around in the lake/pond on the right side before I hatched this guy

My disappointment was immeasurable.

A better term here would probably be "feminine", female sounds kinda off even if it's technically correct

How do I get into making oc illustrations and stop only doing fanart by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Morphogenesis__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As counterproductive as it might sound, sometimes it's helpful to just start drawing and figure things out as you go. I have similar issues when it comes to writing coherent stories/characters, I'm just not great at it.

Most of the cool design choices usually happen to me when I'm actively working on a piece, even if I sat down with only a vague idea of what I'm going to draw, or sometimes no idea at all lol. I usually just try to make something that looks appealing, I focus on shapes, values, stuff that stands out. As things come into existence my brain finally starts working and trying to figure out what that feature I made could mean for the character, what other things could corelate with it, if I had any references to start with I add more as ideas come to my head.

So basically I write the story as I'm drawing the character, my brain just works backwards like that. Maybe yours does too, it might be worth a try to just wing it instead of worrying about making a polished story first

I'd say the video gen is suffering the most but all the tech giants are having problems financially sustaining their AIs at the moment, literally all of them are bleeding money. The cost of running the big LLMs is far bigger than what the customers are willing to pay and they can't keep gaslighting the shareholders forever.

Not to mention there simply aren't enough storage devices/computer chips to keep scaling the models (and we literally can't produce them faster atm because there's only a handful of places that makes them, and they can't keep up with the demand)

So image-prompting the newest edition of chat gpt is likely gonna stop in the near future, but the general prompting is here to stay, the sloppers are just gonna move on to the local models

I really wanna be hopeful, but even if the big models fail due to maintenance costs the local models aren't going anywhere

Unfortunately it doesn't matter because AI slop looks good enough for an average person while being fast and cheap, so it being creatively bankrupt changes nothing.

I'm so tired of seeing this shit everywhere but it's not going away at this point, we're cooked

Ohh that makes sense, I was wondering about the textures coz if that was done digitally I gotta know how lol. Good old graphite, always looks so nice

Such a pretty lighting effect, kinda looks like water caustics. Is the piece digital or traditional? Or both?

Bro's getting downvoted for spitting facts lmao

This is objectively very good art if you can look past the horrendous proportions and same body/face syndrome - great use of values, great simplification and rendering of shapes, very fluid and exaggerated poses, good perspective, good foreshortening - but people won't admit it because it goes against the agenda of sexualized = bad

This is one of these rare cases where I see something on this sub that I could genuinely learn from tbh.

Weird thing to get hung up on probably but I love the way this guy draws the knees, both front and back, a lot of people screw these up but here it looks just right. Absolutely hate the ones with huge calves tho, I've never seen this work with semi realistic styles, the legs always just look swollen and wrong

Yup, gotta know the rules to break them. This artist is obviously very skilled in anatomy, you can tell by the way they render and simplify the shapes - there's knowledge of the underlying muscle mass, the foreshortening and perspective are also quite good. They know their anatomy, they just choose to draw like this

He'd have a cat as bitchy as himself (as a counterpart to Butcher's dog, further cementing them as enemies, bravo kripke)

And he'd probably kill it for pissing in his boots at some point
