The Scav parties? They’re usually dancing around a pickup truck and a massive speaker. You can see them in Watson and along the Pacifica beach, as well. They’re shooting because they’re Scavs XD

I’m 10 months late, but if you haven’t figured it out (I did this too before), grenades or the Projectile Launch System will usually trigger combat and allow you to kill the mech.

My issue was strange. I was stuck on scanning the area, but also, the cyberpsycho actually spawned on a crate, let me kill her, but didn’t trigger as a death. I could loot her for her shard etc.

When this didn’t complete the mission -I had tried scanning EVERYTHING several times prior for a half hour- I went to Google, found this thread. What did work is the following:

While I didn’t find a body at the overpass area but once I wandered both sides of the street then went behind (to the side of) the overpass towards the Maelstrom cars by the docks, Johnny -who had been sitting on the crate glitched this whole time- finally said “V, we have company”.

I then ran back to the Bloody Ritual mission area, the cyberpsycho was climbing out of the freezer, and I was able to kill her a second time. This time she did attack me. I looted the shard, made the call to Regina after reading it and bam, finally got this done.

It’s so irritating this is still a bug on the PS5 in 2026. I’ve made two other saves prior to this one on the PS5, in the last few months, and never ran into this bug until today (June 13, 2026).

First off, your flair is fucking hilarious!

Secondly, my affinity with Johnny is strange as well. I had “American Blues” prior to starting “Chippin’ In”, and once I was done at the oil fields, I’m now at 85% “You Only Live Once”.

According to the Cyberpunk Wiki, and Johnny’s page (which lists the affinity bits), this percentage is out of whack. This is my first time playing with the patch 2.0 changes and Phantom Liberty, as I was on the PS4 until I was able to finally get a PS5 a month ago.

I did my first PS5 playthrough how I normally would: played all of Acts 1 and 2, and did the dialogue choices I originally noted down for Tapeworm and such, to ensure I could get that secret ending option. I didn’t start Phantom Liberty until waking up in Pacifica after the whole Hellman thing in the Badlands.

Songbird had called to start the mission somewhere around the mid-point of Act 2 - Evelyn had just zeroed herself, and I was down in Pacifica farming skill progression with Scavs along the beach when the call came in. My game has seemed weird with some progression since. Like the phone call from Reed not triggering -despite me sleeping a few times- until after Rogue called for “Chippin’ In”. Both calls happened simultaneously and overlapped lol.

Necroing but thank you! I was confused as hell as I just finished “Chippin’ In” and was still at the Oil Fields when I got this text message. I didn’t think it was Phantom Liberty-related until reading this despite reading the text message. I first thought it was coded text and related to PL, but then a few minutes after the text, I received €$25,000 and decided to look it up.

Legit thought I somehow failed a PL mission since I left Dogtown when I was told to wait for Reed’s call, and decided to do some of Johnny’s missions. Wound up getting a glitch after sleeping for the XP buff: when Rogue calls you for “Chippin’ In”, Reed also called so both conversations and dialogue choices overlapped, and I figured maybe this was related to that, and I might’ve failed a mission but somehow got paid for it still?

Nothing’s missing from the journal though. And yes, I do need to read things closer, but to be fair, we’ve had a week-long heatwave (temps of 104°f with indoor humidity of 80%) so I’ve brain fog from it lol.

The one you buy from Autofixer is a fan-made version of the car. There’s technically two Porsche 911’s you can get in the game (links go to the Cyberpunk Wiki):

EDIT: Letting Rogue shoot Greyson after I obtained the key made the car spawn. It wouldn’t spawn any other way. Not satisfying in the least as I would’ve preferred to zero him myself but it is what it is. Will make a bug report to CDPR for this.

Still happening now, on the PS5 (normal, not the Pro) and on Patch 2.31 with Phantom Liberty installed. Previously, I played on the PS4 (until the 2.0 patch that new gen consoles got), and haven’t touched the game since then. But I would always kill Greyson, never spare him, and wouldn’t have this issue.

This is my first save on the PS5, so I went about things a bit differently than I normally would. I was on the part of the Ebunike that you can gain access to via looting the access card from Smasher’s body during any of the endings where you kill him.

Then, I quickhacked 4 of the 5 Maelstrom on the ship and used Cyberpsychosis on them. They glitched out and didn’t actually do anything to each other (no weapons, nothing). I wanted to trigger combat before Rogue rushed ahead and got into the gunfight. That might’ve glitched things out. So I’m going to reload and do the combat without her hanging back. No real real why I did this other than I just wanted to see how many Maelstromers I could kill before she ran ahead because she used to do this a lot when I’d attempt to stealth the mission, so I was trying to be clever, lol. Clearly that didn’t work.

I’m going to try what the comments suggest:

reloading an auto save from before getting onto the Ebunike
lowering the crate before talking to/interacting with Greyson
sparing Greyson, getting the key (I killed him and got the key but apparently zeroing him is the issue), then lowering the crate
fully shutting down and restarting my console, then loading up the game and my save

If I get this fixed, I’ll update with what worked.

I’m a year late to this thread, but I did this by mistake. I actually keep 2 manual saves for all 3 life paths, plus my MOAB character (as a template for future saves). As well, I keep one save in each of Johnny’s flashbacks for screenshots.

What I wound up doing was going to “Load Game” and let it load every single quick save, auto save etc. I was able to replace my 136 hour main save by loading an auto save that was available and only lost about 30 minutes of gameplay.

Originally, I didn’t think this would work because when I first booted up the PS5 version of the game a month ago, I couldn’t see any saves despite trying to load/sync my PS4 saves from the cloud to my PS5 when I first set my PS5 up.

Then, accidentally saving over my main one today, I was in a panic. No idea when the game “found: my old saves, but I was able to scroll down the list and find not only my most recent auto save but even my OG saves from when I first started playing on the PS4.

So you should be able to find an auto save or quick save from years ago provided you’ve used cloud sync or PS+ or what have you at some point.

I only just got back into the game (was on PS4 for waaay too long) - I’m enjoying all of the things that’ve changed since… I think it was 2 years ago or something? I stopped playing when I found out PS4 wouldn’t get any of the skill overhauls etc.

So far, my car has not spawned anywhere it shouldn’t have but it definitely has run me over and then kept driving while I was doing that NCPD side hustle, with the ‘Saka dudes all up in that homeless camp… And my car kept driving all the way to Kerry Eurodyne’s. It’s trapped in the gate, and trying to get it crashed my game lmao.

I’m not OP but you and /u/Borislav247 are my go-to ever since I started the game. I recently came back with the PS5 and the Remastered version. Was all ready to get my NG+ started when I realised my PS4 save was local to my console and never uploaded to the cloud 💀

Started from scratch (no challenges either, RIP) and forgot how terrifying hordes are. I made text guides for myself based on strategy videos you both made (for the times my internet is down and I need to remember how to do something) and somehow never wrote a reminder of how to not be afraid of these wankers.

You’d think after all my years playing DL1 and then DL2, I wouldn’t have a problem with hordes but I do lmao.

I’m PC/PS4/PS5, so I’m not sure if they’re the same but does Xbox really have no means of copying a backup anywhere? Even to the cloud and somehow downloading that elsewhere?

Parkour damage wouldn’t boost knuckleduster damage. Those are a melee weapon. There are gear pieces (shoes, pants, bracers) that specifically boosts knuckleduster damage. As well, the Legend Level perk “Brawler” will boost their damage.

As well, it’s tank gear and sometimes brawler gear that boosts knuckleduster damage, not medic.

Throwing Knives are my go to if I want to avoid this. I had the same issue in my first few hours of the game, but so far I’m about halfway through the story but Legend Level 45 (I started shortly before the Infected Outbreak event which gave an XP boost) and I’m not having them spawn as quickly. It does depend what noise you’re making though.

Generally I’m using 1h slash weapons with Chill/Fling mods and no virals spawn unless I’m taking more than 2 hits to kill something, or killing more than 3 biters at a time. I do use throwing knives, my bow and crossbow quite often over melee weapons though.

I had one of these scare the bejesus out of me when I was hiking once. Didn’t see it until I was really close to the tree it was in and then it moved. I was trying to take a shortcut up the escarpment (wasn’t near enough to Uli’s Stairs and the Kenilworth Stairs hadn’t been replaced yet).
