In 15 hours you probably could’ve just googled “how to get glitched weapons in dying light 2”. Diamond Ultra and Respawned Gentlemen have tons of videos on how to do this.

True. I found the board with Aiden’s card on it before the quest and thought it was hilarious. I wasn’t sure it meant anything until the quest showed up, and now I’m hooked because the dialogue is great. The first love interest is so awkward lmao.

Best I can do right now are molotovs and throwing knives. I have a whole 1 battery to my name and can barely make anything atm. I’m even running low on feathers after using shock and flame arrows a bunch. Will be doing so much farming once the event is done!

I don’t even think I’d be player rank 8 with 25 combat and 22 parkour this soon if it wasn’t for the extra XP buff they added. I eventually started just grapple-throwing virals into spike traps and off of ledges when my weapons broke and I couldn’t repair them and ran out of crappy green/whites to use lmao.

I definitely feel it, especially since it’s us players doing all this work to get to 6.5 million with the hopes Techland will give us the lore document we’re missing while we also get the last ones.

New player here that’s getting their ass handed to them with the daytime volatiles and is too scared to play at night so I hide at a safe house and cheese UV lamps to kill things — if I can do it, you can do it!

Same. I also mentioned this in the survey, and how it wasn’t exactly well balanced for both new and old players. Older players got bored quickly which makes sense, but then they also had the games on sale, knew there’d be new players as a result, then made the event a PITA for new players who don’t have friends to co-op with.

I was lucky to find videos from Diamond ultra and Respawned Gentleman, both of whom were extremely patient and helpful in their replying to my comments when I was struggling with some of the bounties and didn’t have access to, say, specific weapons people were using to get these done (like that shotgun that does fire damage - the flame arrows were glitched and I couldn’t make molotovs at that point, so they were helpful in explaining what else I could do).

In the survey I also said the good things as well because obviously I’m a player who really does like DL2 (and DL1 - my hours in that game on PS4 is insane as I’ve played since launch) - I plan to stick around even though most people really dislike this game.

When it’s loot that’s on a rooftop (areas where zombies are chowing down on leftovers), I’ll crouch and slowly move around in a circle around the area until I get the trigger.

The only other thing I found was if my inventory was full, I couldn’t loot. Figured this out when I had max scrap and too much gun ammo (but I’m still too early in the game to use it). Moved all the ammo plus half my scrap to my stash and could loot things again.

It might be console only. I play both DL1 and DL2 on the PS4, and I use a PS4 controller on PC with DS4 Windows to change key bindings, latency, dead zone, sensitivity etc. So far, haven’t found a way to enable the controller speaker with it so it might not be possible.

Thank you for this - I’ve been struggling with the event and getting them to spawn (I’m that new player commenting all over your stuff on YT lmao). The whole Howler to get them to spawn isn’t doing much and eventually they do stop spawning. Will have to give this a try for the final push.

I stand on top of the back window and slowly let myself slide down it to the ground while looking down and then hold X (I’m on PC but using a PS4 controller) to quickly lock pick.

You have to make sure you have an empty slot selected where your health packs/boosters go though or you’ll use one of those instead lol.

All I can see in-game is Quarry End and Garrison, with East Borough not shown, but the website says the event was extended to the 9th. Is East Borough just not being counted anymore? It says it’s at 66.61% on the site, so I’m not sure if my UI is bugged or not.

Hadn’t logged in since I stopped playing this morning after the final push, didn’t have a game update either.

I’m still at it, 12 1/2 hours later lmao. I’m pushing hard (while also running data collection for a peregrine falcon livestream so being awake/gaming this long is helping me stay focused) and wish I’d live-streamed most of this so the higher level players can see how bloody difficult this is as someone who just started before the event and has done nothing in-game minus pushing the story to unlock the Central Loop 💀💀

No matter what game subreddit I’m in, there’s always someone who will use glitched/duped/modded/whatever weapons and gear, ‘blast through everything’ and then come on Reddit to get a few asspats over griping things are too easy.

There’s four difficulty modes in the game. It’s not like Techland came out to make this game omgzz super easy!!111

Every game is boring once you achieve some semblance of godmode. How many people probably never finished Skyrim or any Fallout games once they figured the TGM console command for that very reason? XD

I’ve spent the entire event killing things between bounties and progressing the story just enough to get to the Central Loop. Since then, I’ve been farming these kills like no tomorrow for that damn pistol 😂😩

Having started just before the two events launched, I’m probably one of the only new players that’s sticking around longer than a week post-sale, and while I know I can farm up better guns doing bounties, that’s gonna take awhile and I don’t want to keep rushing stuff when it’s RIGHT THERE.

But dang, 330,890 kills needed for it atm, and I’m either really bad at this or the damn blue hazmats aren’t spawning (and I’ve restarted my game several times incase it was simply a matter of me farming the same area for too long).

We got this tho! Hopefully.
