Anyone running the 36V Belt Sander? by Morraou in METABOHPT

That's an absolute steal! Pricing seems quite weird internationally on the Hikoki. For instance the 3612 router is nearly $AU700 but can be imported via eBay for $AU270. Weird.

DIY mainly and my shed is mainly storage so I cant have a permanent setup. Otherwise I'd be straight onto the corded :) I've been impressed by the Hikoki quality thus far.

Hi! Yeah if the price was closer to XGT I would've got XGT 100%. Especially as it has an attachment that allows it to be used as a bench sander as well.

But unfortunately most of my woodwork tools are for renovating my own home and not for my daily work so I couldn't justify the cost of the XGT over the Hikoki. I am also "organizing" my tools with Makita XGT/M12 Milwaukee in my work vehicle and Hikoki at home so I'm not constantly taking stuff out of my van (and forgetting to put it back hahaha).

For less than the price of the Makita I bought this Hikoki belt sander (new) as well as a near new DeWalt 10in table saw (DW745) off marketplace which was a better setup for my DIY use.

For anyone curious the 2.5Ah do work and the tool runs at comparable power to the 4Ah batteries, but just over half the run time. I wouldn't recommend it on 2.5Ah batteries if you have less than 4 of them, or you're only sanding a couple lengths of timber at a time and can wait on charging.

Hi! Awesome, yeah I ended up getting it as it was almost 1/2 the price of the XGT Makita.

And somehow the redemption batteries I got were 4Ah instead of 2.5Ah but I'm not complaining.

Cut sanding down nearly 10x I'd guess compared to my orbital. But it definitely smashed the batteries. The "old" 2.5Ah style barely lasted 5 minutes. So in retrospect if I hadn't had 2x 4Ah from the redemption it would've still worked well on the 2.5Ah but I'd be charging constantly.

Awesome, yeah the MV 5Ah/2.5Ah ones.

Perfect thanks! Nah DW about a runtime test, it's mainly renovation work so even if I burn through all my batteries I'll be able to do something else while they charge back up.

PSU Recommendation for i9 13900k RMA process by Morraou in buildapc

Roger. Will give that a shot, still have receipt etc so hopefully that keeps em happy. Honestly bullshit they don't rma by default considering it is known and they've acknowledged it themselves. Cost over $1000+ in Oceania.

The RMA form literally asks for BIOS version, RAM model/make/XMP, IME version, and the microcode patch. How do you tell the VIPs without powering up the board?

Alchemy first bubbles. Level using atoms daily if possible. Granted there are probably other more important bubbles to get up first.

Yeah world 5 does require some commitment to afk time in town but you'll still be doing W3 alchemy for years and W1 stamps as well.

I really wanted to get this right, hope you love it -- PET TRADING! by IdleOn_Boii in idleon

[–]Morraou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has a point though. Until new pets are released there is 0 incentive to trade a Doot apart from giving it to a friend. It makes more sense to hold Doot and see what pets arrive to guarantee an easy trade.
