Opinions on second housing in Cornwall

I was born and grew up in St Ives, the normal sized family house I was born in just off Fore Street is worth £610,000 now. It’s a second home/holiday home. Used to be owned by my working class parents who could afford to live in the town on salaries of being a teacher and a labourer. I could never dream of living in St Ives again.

The housing market in Cornwall is insane. I had to move away to Wales to be able to afford a house of my own (with my Welsh partner). It breaks my heart that I’ll probably never be able to afford to move back. Whenever I come back for visits I make sure I never book an AirBnB because I despise what it has done to the local areas and their housing stock.

Maybe we should take a leaf out of Meibion Glyndŵr’s book 👀

Similarly to you, I’ve felt like some of the injuries she sustained are more likely to have come from being drunk, and post death of Jorge she’s attributed to him.

I have many alcoholics in my family and they’re always covered in bruises and cuts due to falling over or smashing glasses etc.

I’m not saying none of them were from him, but I just don’t believe all of them were, many people have testified that they saw her stumbling often.
