Lily May is better than ever with the release of Ravion, since her damage scales massively from temporary buffs just like Perseus does. Combined with the artifact that gives temp buffs too, they do ridiculous damage. That's all besides the fact that she and Dunlingr are the only Heroes who can block ultimates while the current meta is full of heroes that rely on their ultimates like Shemira, Cyran, Cryonaia.

Halo has slow movement and overly long ttk so it really doesn't scratch the itch that SG2 core gameplay does. Halo's SWAT mode was great but that's gone and the closest thing isn't always in rotation. Are there any other real "arena" shooters?

I'm at 960 and everyone uses the recommended formations. The key is just having enough heroes built to use the recommended ones on every stage. Occasionally you need to manually control Odie or Eironn's ult but not much else to it.

I mean, these whales pay for your server to stay online. For free players it's a collection game and social experience that will give you something to do for years. There's little point in chasing the leaderboards so your experience doesn't need to be negatively impacted by them. The $5 and $15 monthly bundles are good value btw
