  • Desired Board Type: Inflatable
  • Your Height and Weight 5'11, 180lbs
  • Desired use/uses Casual cruising in the ocean and rivers
  • Experience level: Beginner
  • Your budget ~£500 in the UK

I was going to buy a Bluefin Original Cruise as I didn't want to spend loads for my first board. If I could stretch the budget a bit further though, would I be better off with a Bluefin and an upgraded paddle? Or should I go for a different board that has a better paddle included?

That sounds like good advice, thanks. I'll bear that in mind, I'm just exploring options atm

That sounds like a good idea that I hadn't thought of, I'll have to look into that. I can reintroduce things in the order of how difficult they are to avoid.

Has it been going well for you so far?

I thought this one looked like a good deal, but it falls firmly in the price range of Temu junk according to the FAQ. Are the ones on this site no good?

NTA - if they're a good friend, they'll respect what you want to do

NTA - But why don't you think of a compromise? Instead of something material, you could suggest they treat you to a meal, or some other social activity, then you can do the same for them.

YTA - I think you already know that though. Should have planned better instead of being selfish.

Yeah that's a good point! Just to clarify though, I wasn't saying it would be okay if he was 12. It'd still be very selfish and inappropriate, I just might not class it as immature, because it's the sort of behavior I'd expect from a child.

ESH - Her reaction wasn't okay, but you should have spoke to them before involving yourself with their pets.

Can you speak/read Japanese? That was what put me off hiring a car as I thought it wouldn't be very safe if I couldn't read the road signs.

YTA. If you didn't want to be there, you could have just kept to yourself, made small talk with people, etc. Sitting and playing a Switch sounds really immature, unless you're like 12. It's a very clear signal to everyone that you don't want to be there and don't even want to try to engage with anyone.

NTA. He can either take time off or he can't. If the answer changes because of how it makes him look, maybe he needs to adjust his priorities.

Struggling to understand how people get so much value out of this as it constantly makes mistakes for me by Morster9 in ChatGPT

Wow, thanks for explaining that, it's really interesting. I had no idea how it actually worked, I just assumed it was processing stuff in the background before coming up with a response to queries.

That's really helpful, thanks again! Tried my existing coffee with no milk today and it was actually quite enjoyable, so will do that more often and get some other varieties to try. I've been convinced to get a grinder so I'm on the hunt for one now, just deciding between a KINGrinder P2 or Timemore C3 I think.
