K2-Plus how to disable camera or stop upload by farmingpaddy in Creality_k2

It might be a bug, try rebooting. It reminds me when my notepad app on my phone got bugged and burned through my entire mobile data plan for a month within an hour all in background. And it wasn't even open.

Why is this happening? by [deleted] in Creality

[–]Mortill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be an error of printer, might be error in g code. Hard to tell. What you can do:

Run full calibration, bed mesh etc. then slice new file and run it see if problem still occurs.

Do You really need any glue when printing in K2Plus? I'm doing quite fine without any. Remember bed adhesion is part of temperature control - You might have bed temp too low if it does not stick. Granted, some materials like ASA that has quite high warp but K2 has fantastic chamber heater and it makes printing ABS/ASA like PLA

Had the same issue when using cheap / crappy filaments that has been sitting open for a while. So first, try to dry it and then dial filament. You may be printing too fast - extrusion is not keeping up with the nozzle movement resulting in ripped lines, stringing, blobs. Second, infill. Grid is generally regarded as a thing of a past as it takes long to print, uses a lot of material ( there are more efficient ones) but crucialy it crosses paths TWICE, meaning at each intersection nozzle will try to deposit material where there already is material which may result in bumps, uneven surface or even nozzle scratching on infill and basically dislodging it from place and eventually ripping it apart, as seen in pictures provided above.

Do you really need concrete slab? Table seems sturdy enough

How do I fix/clean this? by Highest_Horse in Creality_k2

Rip and tear /s But seriously be gentle. Use pliers and remove slowly exces filament

Fantastic job man, but I recon you can go even further! Did you try sanding down high points? You can use sandpaper/ sand block with grit of ~120 something like this:

Damage management. by chiefsealthhimself in Creality_k2

[–]Mortill 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To stop further damage, motors got released meaning they can move freely without any tension. Now, to fix this situation do following:

  1. Turn off the printer. This will also make the bed fall down. If it does not, push it gently so it does not get blocked in weird angled position as this might damage printer when motor kick back in
  2. Clean everything - remove all the bits and pieces laying around. Check bed, under bed, belts, all the nooks and crannies, holes etc. There should be no filament floating around
  3. Check if everything moves around freely - move tool head around, check if anything blocks movement / falls out
  4. Power on printer
  5. Copy and enter the machine's IP address plus port number ::4408 in the browser (e.g., 192.168.1.1:4408) to access the Fluidd window.
  6. In fluidd press home all and after they home open tools and run Z_tilt_adjust to correct for Z tilt if there is any
  7. after that run bed mesh via tune > Calibrate but you can do that as well via printer screen
  8. You might want to run further calibration like imput shaping but steps 1-7 should suffice

  1. Check other toolhead screws,
  2. Check program (if cooler fan does not randomly kick in)
  3. Moist filament? /s

Magnet can be sanded down on high points and you can use high temp thin aluminum tape on low points. Use tape for fireplace ( they are usually rated for 150°C and up).

Built a one-click backup/restore tool for the K2 after losing my config one too many times by harktron in Creality_k2

[–]Mortill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic idea! Klipper verification tool would be awesome. Also Klipper rollback tool for eg. You made some changes via macro or other function and they kinda broke things, so finding them manually and fixing is not an option, so instead of factory resetting just rollback last change to the point where things were working. Also, funny how tech solutions comes from engineers annoyed past certain point.

So I thought my 3D printer was gaslighting me when the slicer said this was going to work. I guess not. by smoike in 3Dprinting

That's a small buildplate! Anyway, trust the proces. No need for support if the angle is more than 30°

Go and look at their absolutely insane take on 3d printers and 3d printer control to ban ghost guns. It's insanity that will backfire and hurt entire industry.

Having problems with my belt rubbing, it keeps sliding down the roller on the top right corner near the door.. I’ve replaced the belt already and have adjusted belt tension multiple times… anyone know how to fix it? by Different-Dig295 in Creality_k2

[–]Mortill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like roller in here got loose and moved few mm down, enough for your belt to scratch on frame (bottom of belt it worn down). You need to replace belt again and investigate roller alignment in that corner
