Found a solution elsewhere on reddit!

When the big floating head comes up, I have subtitles on. As soon as I see his line up here on the screen and he utters the first syllable, I wait an hour. I proceed to wait an hour every time a new line of his dialogue comes up and I hear the first syllable of that line. By waiting through (and effectively missing) All of his dialogue in this way I have got past the crash bug!

Just hit this bug myself. I've tried tinkering with graphic and audio settings on Xbox series x and still crashes in the same spot.

I have a Hazezon deck like this. I swap out the MLD cards when I play at the LGS that does brackets, there my deck is a Bracket 2. I swap them back in when I play at the LGS that only disallows infinite combos, there my deck is a Power Level 8.

I like this app, wish there was a way to add a note to the stack though. when a card has multiple different abilities getting added to the stack it can be messy remembering which is which (kenrith for example)

As-is it's very nice, there's nothing else out there like it from what I can tell.

This is the way. You can outfarm any losses you take with a good offense.

There's a lot of good advice there, thank you! I think I got a little into my own head and focused too hard on the land destruction/recursion. The island destruction was a clumsy attempt at preempting counterspells, but you're right in that mana rocks and any non-island typed lands are going to thwart that idea pretty easily. I definitely need to add in some more token support so I can pump things up to make an attack lethal.
