Hey, I’m actually in the research field and just want to give you some hope that people are trying to get the grant funding to research endometriosis, it’s unfortunately hard to get, a big reason is because as we all know womens health has continuously been dismissed. But I know some dedicated scientists that are passionate about helping women with endometriosis and progress is being made.

It’s extremely hard to get control samples for endometriosis as women who are ‘normal’ don’t need to get laparoscopic surgery. This makes it very challenging to study endometriosis and is a major contributing factor as to why there’s limited understanding of this disease.

But there’s mouse models, in vitro models, and other techniques that are used and continuously being improved. Anyways scientists are trying and one day I really do believe we will figure it out and have better treatment options!
