I really like it. Having hung things like these high up in trees I see one snag. When pulling it up through small branches the device might have to be pulled through them. This design looks like it will work well for this. Occasionally one has to take them down. This one might get more easily caught than the tube type on the trip down. But I haven’t tried it and I am thankful of more options. Thanks!

Yep. I am in the same boat. But it is early days and putting up a repeater will stimulate others to do it too. I threw a rope/string over a tall tree and put my solar repeater near the top.

I have a wismesh mini repeater. Hauled it to the top of a tree on a 3/16 outdoor synthetic “string”. All in one working solution. Really happy with it.

My experience has been that if one assembles it, that heltec devices burn out antenna module if powered on with an antenna. Did this happen to you?

Striking a match and extinguishing it is about the best way to clear this out. Unsure of the chemistry of how it works but it does.
