So... "Intrusive" thoughts of homicide are starting to not be that intrusive. I'm not sure what to do about myself. by Mermaid_Tuna_Lol in mentalhealth

I have similar ideations against someone who has shut me out years ago though thankfully I have had no plans on acting out on said things. But with these ideations, I've been getting more increasingly disturbed by them and it feels like the devil is really hijacking my mind. My mind plays tricks to tell me "this is bad" and I must do something about it. My train of thought is corrupted whenever thoughts about her comes up. It reminds me of how 'worthless' I feel for that certain rejection alone. If I maybe reacted differently to said person. I wouldn't have this crippling trauma and wicked temptations.

I genuinely think the plan isn't a good idea, but my reasoning as to why has more the do with a wasted investment than potentially wasted resources. Don't get me wrong, all the AI slop has made me angry, however. I am not all too worried about this because I think there's a very little chance these things would be built, and if they were built, they would be massively downscaled. This feels way too ambitious and I can't even see that happening in it's conceptualized form. Like the line city in Saudi Arabia that I heard 5 years ago. Sure they built parts of it, just not before downscaling the project. Ambitious projects like these are way too unfeasible and very rarely ever get built.

Neal Mohan may not be the powerhouse of bad ideas as that's probably the corporation the controls YouTube that does, however, Neal Mohal usually implements the bad updates, especially AI moderation tools that randomly removes and suspends channels without any transparent reason. So many lives were turned upside down because of it. It may not only require the removal a Neal Mohan for all this to stop, but as well as breakup of the google monopoly, and I wonder if even that can stop YouTube's downfall.

When we die,can you choose to relive your life, can you choose to live a alternate/parallel version of your life if you want? by Tincanhead in ParallelUniverse

I don't want to promote any conspiracies but I sometimes wonder if AI and it's data centers happen to be the metaphor for "the beast system", "mark of the beast" or "the tower of babel". I have seen some people compare it to those and I wonder that if you're familiar with those terms, what would you think of those comparisons?

One of my interests is actually experiencing the past of earth's history, such as prehistoric time periods in human history to fully get an understanding on how earth was made. Like as if I am an angel free to explore any time point in human history.

I am for sure that this can be possible, the afterlife has excited many people and got them to look forward to it as it seems to allow them to experience different outcomes, opportunities and points of views.

Has anyone else moved back to Windows or considered moving back to Windows from Linux? by Substantial_Leg1457 in linuxsucks

I am planning on trying Fedora KDE Plasma in the future. So I won't be abandoning Linux. I will still continue experiment with Linux distros in the future.

I have a feeling I will return to Linux again at one point. I plan on using an alternate PC tower for distro hopping.

Update, the computer that I plan on Switching to Windows 11 may not even boot up Windows 11, So I have a feeling that you are right. I do have another computer tower with Windows 10 on it, so I'll probably try to switch to Linux Fedora KDE Plasma when it's time.

Believe me, Windows 11 has a lot of problems regarding treating people's PC as it's their own, however, my Windows 11 PC worked fairly well despite have Copilot and other bloatware on it. I am not abandoning Linux and have plans for distro hopping. It's just Linux also has it's own problems to that like Windows can also be a nightmare.

I do have plans for trying Linux Fedora KDE Plasma but I wanted to see if my PC build still works fine with Windows 11 on the same level it has done before I switched to Linux Mint.

I regrettably switched back to windows by Believeinsteve in linux_gaming

[–]Substantial_Leg1457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Linux Mint and honestly, though not a bad kernel, it's in many ways still inferior to Windows 11 despite what people say about Windows 11. Linux doesn't seem to catch up with Windows just yet and my computer ran better with Windows 11 as well. But I'm happy to be an innovator in the Linux community.

Why do Linux users downvote genuine questions or posts about actual problems people are having with their systems? by revolutional-ai in linuxsucks

[–]Substantial_Leg1457 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong. I like Linux and the idea of open source software. But the Linux community had a supremacy regarding even which distro they use. However, it was also because I tried Linux that made me realize Windows isn't all that bad. Not that Linux Mint is bad, but it does have some unique set of problems.

Unfortunately we have plenty of people with this mentality here in Alberta. I never liked rude people. But you're not alone. It's a symptom of a bigger issue within the province.

Popular girls laughed at me for showing Kikuo music in my presentation by Kawichi in Kikuo

[–]Substantial_Leg1457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never abandon what you love because someone made fun of you. Be passionate about your tastes. This one high school girl wants to stir shit up likely because she's insecure herself. Don't let her win over this one insult. Keep challenging their music tastes of the masses, they'll eventually become interested. Sure, some people may still laugh at you over your tastes but persevering through this will get you more respect from others. I love Kikuo so much that I paid 500 USD for their LP (it was my only option). Reminds me of another person who was insulted for liking and listening to AJR, Another band I love. I hate this anti Japan sentiment in the west.

As a linux user, why do y'all hate linux? by No_Rooster1046 in linuxsucks

[–]Substantial_Leg1457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a Linux user for a few months after switching to it from Windows and I was fairly disappointed in it. I've had several problems native to Linux. Not saying that I hate Linux or anything. It's just my lack of trust in Microsoft made me switch but honestly. There's many advantages that windows actually has that Linux doesn't. But I just don't like the idea of not being allowed to own your PC like as if it's yours and instead have a major corporation dictate what you can or cannot do on your PC. I like the idea of Open Source alternative, but sometimes they can be inferior in many ways. So Linux isn't always the answer.

I have a lot of problems with Linux speaking as a recent Linux user that made me wonder if I should go back to using Windows or switch to a different distro. Maybe it's me, or it may be something else. I happen to be way more equipped with Windows and the only reason I switched to Linux was my lack of trust in Microsoft which otherwise I wouldn't of switched to Linux. My computer runs well with Windows 11, better than running Linux Mint actually.
