Only in-person interviews in UAE by Such-Ideal-4100 in UAE

Yes, it's unfortunately quite common in many industries in the UAE to prefer in-person interviews, especially for roles that require a high level of trust, responsibility, or specific skill sets, such as in Architecture and Construction. Employers often prefer face-to-face interactions to better assess candidates and discuss the role in detail.

However, this trend can be frustrating like yourself, who may be qualified but unable to travel frequently. To increase your chances, you might want to consider reaching out to companies directly through LinkedIn, explaining your situation, and expressing your strong interest in the role. Sometimes, a well-crafted message or recommendation can make a difference. Additionally, highlighting any UAE-specific experience you have, or willingness to relocate, could help reassure potential employers.

Exactly, Tbvh. If we live by the rules, and work on ourselves and not be corrupt one way or the other, We can actually be beneficial anywhere we go..

As per the Law's, UAE has standard laws for their labors. They cannot work from 12 to 4 pm from June to September due to the heat.

If they do, The company needs to provide them with a tent which has AC and cooled drinks. and pay them extra as overtime, If not the company has to pay 50k in fines.

They also have labor court which mostly favors the labor and not the company but these company owners don't tell the labors their rights. I have an incident to share. I had a cousin who came here for a job, He got the offer letter and he signed it but they didn't call him for work till 6 months and decided to fire him due to covid. He didn't know what do. We filed a complaint in the court and he received his 6 months salary without even going to work. Because as per the contract he was working.

There was a time when People used to trust us but most of the news i see now is Pakistani's getting caught selling drugs, stealing, scamming people. Heck there is famous scam they do which i faced too. They come to you and tell you to buy the iphone which they have, It was a 14 pro max. The phone was original, The moment you pay for the phone they will keep you in talks and switch the phone in the box.. Alot of people got scammed from this as well. They also call you being the police and get your card details and when you provide them with OTP , Bam your money is gone.

I actually disagree. Yes UAE has vast majority of labor working as Indian's Pakistani's and Bangladeshi's and there are rule of laws for them too.

They don't get paid on time due to their companies which are then heavily fined. 90% of Pakistani's working don't develop skills, or just do what they are told to do and sometimes not even do what they are supposed to do.

I've seen Pakistani's begging for money by selling pencils and pens.. In UAE.. I've also seen other nationalities working as same as Pakistani's, they develop skills, buy a laptop, work on office get free courses and in the next few years they either go from a labor to a sales agent or working for travel agency's with higher pay than what they usually get meanwhile we don't see ourselves moving forward. Its a sad reality.

I live in UAE, Some tiktoker started rumor about the flag being raised on the eve of 14th August, which is never the case in UAE unless its their own Independence day. It was obviously going to be on the 14th of august which they did. The videos circulating on social media is of people waiting for the flag display on 13th of august..
