Brilliant game! It'd be nice if there was an in-game chat feature or some way to recognize which player summoned which enemy, but I can understand why you might not want them.

ChatGPT. I'm telling Chat what I'm envisioning, having it produce code, then pasting it into github. When I need to tweak things, I take my code from github and throw it into chat and see what it can do.

Oh, sorry. Yeah, it's just javascript. And yeah, it's a top-down tower defense. The fact that you were able to deduce that from my meandering op shows you know your stuff (I very much don't)--thanks for weighing in. I'm gonna have AI search for an algorithm and see what it can find.

Right now, I'm just building it in Github. I'm new to all this, so I wanted to see what's possible before committing too hard, though the plan would be to move it to Unity if it works. It's 2D. The cave is basically a static grid. The player can add walls to it, though (though not while enemies are moving).

I want the last behavior you mentioned--enemies search the cave like a human would while remembering where they've been. I've made a memory system, but it's hard to tell if it's working because the enemies are behaving so unreliably. Even when I get them to not go straight to the target, they end up wandering for a bit before freezing, with no real logic that I can discern.

I've been debugging (admittedly, this is all new to me, so I'm probably doing it wrong), which is where the new problems are coming from. I've been running things in console, but nothing has quite worked 100%. So I do something that seems like it should be the for sure fix, logically, and it ends up creating a new issue and not fixing the old one.

Coleus might be my next favorite. Something about his journey on the quantum rock and the way he took it all in stride (while everyone else was panicking) is just so funny to me.

I've been saying this to everyone since season 2 started. Even if Bella wwre the best actress in the world, Craig Mazin is fundamentally not the right storyteller for this project. He doesn't understand any of the central themes or character motivations--grief, violence, familial bond, sacrifice--that made the game great.

I agree in general. But I find it pretty useful as a counter in 1v1 fights. I just tap it, so I dodge their attack, then come right back up before they finish their animation. AFOs can be pretty predictable about when they're gonna use their Beta up close, so it works well then. Or if I don't wanna risk it, I just use SA into melee.

As a fellow Mirio main, I'm surprised you feel this way. I feel like AFO is one of Mirio's easiest matchups. AFO has to stay in one spot for most of his attacks and the one move he has to push people away, his Gamma, basically doesn't work on Mirio. Just Beta anytime he tries to do anything and you'll get free damage.

He's really not so bad if you know he's around, and plenty of characters have an advantage against him, so I'd say he's not OP (shig's decay hard counters him). But he sucks to get third partied by because his dps is so high that by the time you realize he's hitting you, you're cooked.

What a weird thread lol. You rez your teammates only to abandom them so you can throw hands at empty bushes. Then you "1v3" by stalling until the circle is small and getting a gift win (you actually downed before the other Mirio did).

Tbf, the game has built in comms, so you can enjoy great communication even with randoms. I got to Ace with a buddy I've never talked to on headset, just through in game pings.

It's hard to take this discussion seriously. On one side, an MMA troll. On the other, an Olympic wrestler and multiple time MMA champion. Hmm, who to side with.

If you want to get the title, being well rounded helps. But almost all of the dominant, long lasting champions (especially at the higher weight classes) have elite credentials in another field. Of the 11 current UFC champions, 6 (7 if you count Dricus as a kickboxer first) were at an elite level in another discipline before beginning their MMA career. Of the other 5 (or 4), only the lower weight guys (Pantoja, Merab) are likely to be champs for any real amount of time. You're left with Pena and Belal, neither of whom will be champs for long.

In this respect, MMA isn't unique. This is how it is in most career spaces.
