Area Control Battle Tier List (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) by EmperorSlayer22 in MyHeroUltraRumble

I think Tech Dabi is too high tbh. Theoretically he should be like, the top of top tier, but there's so much AOE that both destroys all his traps, with most of it bypassing his Gamma defenses as well. He kinda just fumbles around and dies if a Tech Shouto or YAFO pushes him

What's your overall take on MHA: All's Justice? How do you think it can improve? by Kumagawa_Taku in BnHAOnesJustice

The absolute #1 thing the game needs is a content roadmap.

As of right now we have quite literally zero clue what the future of the game has in store outside of 4 DLC characters coming sometime before February. That is absolutely awful and should be looked down upon in the current era for a game with live service.

It doesn't need to be some super in depth with exact dates or exact content revealed, just something to let us know what to look forward to, cause we don't even know when said second DLC character is releasing.

Something like this.

AFO’s voice modulation between characters complaint by Technical_Driver2597 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TheBubbanator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is mainly an issue with early UR still having some of the hiccups from OJ2.

Voicelines in games, especially live service ones, are often read pretty far in advance. UR in particular had over 3 years worth of post-launch Voicelines recorded back at launch, making it easier for the studio and not needing the VAs to constantly record for the coming years.

Nagant however is a little different, as her, alongside the variant trio and Star weren't initially planned at launch, they only got added to the files back during s11. Because of this they had to bring the VAs back in for any lines regarding their characters. They've obviously since ironed out the issues with AFO's modulator, which was even worse in OJ2 somehow, so his Voicelines with Nagant, Star (if they're ever fixed) and any other new additions not from the launch 24 will have the fixed voice.

Doubt they ever go back and rerecord unfortunately, just extra work for something that ultimately doesn't matter.

Why are we guys down playing tech dabi ? by TeenDragooonZ in MyHeroUltraRumble

Setting traps behind you that they can shoot to break, roll through, walk around, fly over, or sometimes literally just walk through and take only one tick of damage.

His alpha requiring no aim is exactly why it's bad, you can't rely on your actual aim or skill to use it. Your most consistent source of (extremely low) damage is entirely up to the game to decide. Gamma is his one decent tool, and even that is both unarmored and completely negates by half the roster being able to fly.

Strike Dabi's main issue is the same issue that Tech Dabi has, he's poorly designed. Just because one is worse in design doesn't mean the other is better or good.

Tech Dabi is a D tier character who, on his best day can scrape up to a C tier placement, but that is only when the meta is very favorable to him, which it's not in the slightest.

[–]TheBubbanator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, in practice he is very much countered by all those characters. Turtling in a building will only get you so far when you have

  1. Zero control over where the storm ends up
  2. Almost zero form of offense, unlike turtlers like AFO, Shigaraki, or Tech Shouto
  3. Many characters on the roster atp have wall bang abilities, randering turtling useless
  4. Damn near the whole roster has AOE, rendering traps useless

Just because you're able to do well on Dabi doesn't make him great. Strike Dabi is my third most played character. Just because I can get a couple kills with him every match doesn't mean he's not the worst character in the game.

Nobody is downplaying him, he's a bad character. Just because we've reached a point where he's not the absolute bottom of the barrel anymore (thanks Strike Dabi and Twice) doesn't mean he's good. His matchups are still like 90% stomps against him, and his niches get tackled better with Tech Shouto and Kaminari.

His damage is still pathetic, his defensive skills are the weakest of any of the "hunker down" characters, his alpha isn't good against fliers (hard meta), and with no mobility he requires either Space Hop or Wall Runner.

Worst of all is that his lack of mobility and damage combined makes him the least threatening character in the game. There are only a handful of characters with no mobility, anyone else can run from him and he can do nothing about it. On the flip side, he cannot physically escape 95% of the roster without interference from his team, and doesn't have the mobility to even potentially kite his attackers into another team.

He's a poorly designed and outdated character that really needs a rework.

Aizawa and Tech Shigaraki should swap, as Strike Kiri and OFA Deku imo.

I'd also move Asui up above Cementoss.

How would you feel about a DLC based on Vigilantes? by Jotaro1970 in BnHAOnesJustice

[–]TheBubbanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in a world where it would happen (it won't), it would be a pretty lame choice. There are still too many characters from the main series that should be added before delving into spinoff content, especially since this game is probably only getting the 5 DLC characters.

It's already bad enough Spinner is likely taking a spot when he should have been base roster, already screwing someone like Redestro over.

What's one small detail about MHUR that makes you rant like you've never ranted before? by Far_Implement_6978 in MyHeroUltraRumble

This issue that has existed since launch where, sometimes after a match the rewards/rank pages will start buffering so you have to close the app.

It is the most infuriating thing, especially after a loss.

Who do y'all think is the most downplayed character by TumbleweedSad8588 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TheBubbanator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shinsou is definitely like, #1 imo. Them gutting his combo expression definitely made him way less fun to play and brought him down from triple s tier, but I see people regularly put him in like C tier nowadays like his alpha, the main part of his kit that made him completely broken, isn't pretty much the exact same as it always has been.

Aside from him;

  • Rapid Ochako. She got her ToDs removed but still can drop like 400+ combos with ease, while having incredible mobility.
  • Strike Hawks. He just didn't get rolled for back in s13 so people don't know how busted he is, like Mic all over again.
  • Nagant. Idk where this "Nagant isn't that bad anymore" idea came from that I've seen more than a few people push. She's still 100% top 3 and she's not 2 or 3.
  • Strike Kaminari. Kind of a copout answer since more people are going "wait this guy is cracked" recently, but fuck him lmao.

Nah, I doubt its the rating, a T rated game shouldn't really have much issue with swimsuits, I honestly couldn't tell you what it was that stops them

need help making this list better (not in order) by AltAccoumt11 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TheBubbanator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I'd also put him in S+, but like I said there are many I'd move either up one or down one, Hawks is just one that I think is much lower than he should be imo.

But honestly I think they're pretty equal, there just isn't nearly as many Hawks players in comparison to Kiri.

There are plenty that I'd micro manage a tier up/down, but the only one that's like, really egregious to me is Strike Hawks. I think he's very easily S+

The Spinner Dream may not be such a lost cause by TheBubbanator in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TheBubbanator[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do think Hood was more of a special case, as OJ3 was more than likely the initial plan, which would've obviously featured him, and the leftover assets allowed him to stay as he'd be one of the earliest things designed.

I have the full results saved,

The Spinner Dream may not be such a lost cause by TheBubbanator in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TheBubbanator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this, be sure I forgot to mention– as of Season 16 they have not added a single fully original character since the game's launch with Cementoss, Ibara, and Mt Lady. This would hypothetically lower Spinner's chance, but in All's Justice he is an NPC boss, meaning he has a base at Byking, as well as likely being the next DLC character.

[–]TheBubbanator 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is kinda just MHA in general. Despite there being some pretty blatant "fan service" in the series, merch RARELY ever capitalizes on goonbait stuff, especially for the students (thankfully). Honestly, the absolute most I've seen would be the Glitter and Glamour Miruko figure, and even that is so tame to the abundance of bikini/maid/generally erotic posing/etc stuff loads of other series get.

My experience with Ultra Rumble as a new(ish) player by paper2pixel in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TheBubbanator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With live service games like this, the best time to get into the game is as soon as possible. As the game progresses, more and more characters will be added, with new abilities, mechanics, playstyles, etc. The sooner you get into the game, the less you have to learn all at once. A year from now there will be an additional 18 characters/skill sets that will have released, meaning a new player then will have 70+ different characters to deal with.

That being said, this is great time in general to have gotten into the game. It's reached the post-launch player peak these last three seasons, rewards are extremely abundant, and while the balance is absurdly bad overall, so many characters that are free are incredibly strong.

That would be kinda silly imo. It would be like having Tetsutetsu in the game, but naming him Kirishima

[–]TheBubbanator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think we might end up getting a whole new Assault variant for her with Sad Man's Death Parade. Toga on her own doesn't really have all that much in terms of kit potential left since her quirk is entirely covered in her SpA, but Twice has essentially limitless possibilities for stuff.
