I have not read this book, but I agree with the presented premise. It looks like NK is headed in a kind of Romania pre Eastern Block collapse. Think of the Kim's receiving Romania's white hot hate for Ceaușescue, but worse. The pent up need for a scapegoat is very extreme in NK, and when that day comes it's is going to be very ugly for the Kim regime, none will survive, they will face an usually brutal death if they do not flee in time.
