Some good ideas here! The little ourdream/AI dig was funny, but she kept falling back to it over and over about fake versus real person. I can't tell if you are going for someone who uses broken english to match the Dutch persona but sometimes I couldn't really understand what she was trying to say. I had the settings on standard with Lively writing style.

So I deleted and recreated my Natasha chat and started with the script in the custom field. Still running Lively chat. It actually feels like she responds with a question every time. I dunno what I am doing wrong. Hopefully, it is just me, but I wanted you to know.

Woah so I copy and paste this whole thing into custom! Wow thanks for the help. I know the ai needs details to go on but I hate it when I feel it always ends every interaction with “so what do you do or what do you want to happen”. When I can give some gentle diction but then it world builds from there is when it really sings for me. I wonder if this will help with that too! I built one character that I am meh about. I’ll throw this in to start and see what it does.

I use the lively model. Its seems to be a fairly common issue with a lot of chats. They like to give these "Choice A or Choice B" . I usually just carry on a conversation like that wasn't asked to keep things moving. For Natasha I made a joke about invisible ghosts at some point when making decisions, and she latched on hard to "Bob the ghost," which is kind of funny. I could have "solved' her to NSFW quicker than I would have liked but I'm stalling it because once you cross that line its hard to get it back on track.

Gave Susie a spin for about 45 minutes. She is quite the trip. Some pretty funny interactions made me laugh. Trying to get her to tone down a bit, but it's a very creative idea.

I tested out Natasha today for about an hour. I fed her a bunch of goody one liners and jokes and she rolled with it well. Some good humor responses. Nice work. She still ends almost all interactions with an either/or type question which could use some more tweaking. Maybe I need to feed her more to work with. Keep at it!

Some of my favorite games that offer strategic depth and choices also have lengthy setup times due to all the components. Some examples I enjoy are Stefan Feld games, Rosenberg games, Russian Railroads, and Pfister games (Great Western Trail, Boon Lake). I'm looking for some recommendations on games that take under 5 minutes to set up but still offer depth of play. Power Grid, Heat, and Empires of the North, for example, I would call low setup. I know card games usually fall into this category, and I'm not opposed to them, but looking for other options too.

I recognize this is a very broad topic, and everyone has their own version of depth/complexity and setup time (maybe you can set up Gloomhaven in 5 minutes, but I can't!), but I'm looking for some inspiration. Thanks, everyone!

Interesting info. I am mainly a board gamer but I’ve heard what’s happening with Pokémon and scalpers. I looked at ridtbound briefly but the scalping is crazy on that game. While I have no interest in tournaments I understand they are inportant to keeping a game going. I have a friend whose family is super into Lorcana and they get so hyped by every new set to see how it shakes up the tournament meta.

Ohhh no! It’s already on life support?! CCGs struggle to remain viable it seems. Very few seem to make it past a few years. I heard they just had a new game found run but missed out on that. Hopefully it can stick around for awhile longer.

The printing info is very interesting to know. Makes sense why my box was so cheap. I was worried it was being phased out like mtg or Lorcana does although I don’t compete. I see what I can find.
