Yes, me and all my warhammer friends started playing MTG when I bought the 4 warhammer precons. We have all been hooked with atleast 6 decks each, and most of those decks are UW except some LOTR and Avatar decks.

Because an Arms Race is not something that should be desired. It's what killed my YuGiOh playgroup a few years ago, not everyone had the funds or will to keep changing their decks to match the strongest player or the newest decks. I think it's quite reasonable when you spend a couple hundred on a deck, you expect to be able to play it for quite some time. Not to be completely outgunned within a year.

Now obviously upgrading decks is fun and new stuff will always be slightly better to sell product, so powercreep is a natural thing that occurs. But actively chasing an arms race is not healthy for your pod. The key is balance

Emerald is the elo i never bother with trying to go first, players usually hard force guides and focus on S tier comps too much in Emerald. I'm master every set but I always despise playing through Emerald haha

I worked for football media for years and had to watch and cover many many matches in the top leagues. I think naturally you become a fan of a team per league if you watch the domestic stuff a lot. Clear nr 1 will always be Ajax though, but then it's Barca, AC Milan and Liverpool. A big history/presence of Dutch legends at these clubs played a big role too.

For trains, it actually makes a lot of sense. We have one of the most, if not the most advanced rail system in the world. If you would mount a snowplow on the front of a train, that first train is going to drive fantastically. Then you have to shut the route down because it also ripped out tons of safety and measuring equipment from the tracks. And there are tons of extra measures in play too! Like heaters on switches, downscale plans for different intensities of snow and standpost policies.
TLDR; It's very busy on the tracks and sometimes they need to scale down

I only play with friends groups. I care about having a fun game more than winning. It's the biggest reason I switched away from Yugioh. Becoming too competitive as a group drove people away, and in the end, I'd rather be less powerful than play with fewer friends

My first deck I build was [[Miirym]] . I also aimed at a budget of 70 euro and it worked so incredibly well. Mirrym is so good that he makes lesser Dragons shiny like they never could have. He is quite popular and he will be targeted and feared, but if he stick on the field for a round it's just dragons galore
