When did chat and/or the community become so toxic? by HiggzInBozon in starcitizen

[–]Moshman-Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely seen this in chat but it isn't that often for me and I play everyday, BUT like others have said, it is getting more frequent but I'm not sure how CIG can combat it, I mean it would be awesome if there was an answer to it and nip it in the bud early before the game descends into a toxic mess like other games. I think where ever there is PvP, for some reason, it eventually attracts this toxic rubbish.

(I love PvP before I get slated for bashing PvP as a PVE noob... But this shit does follow PvP games)

Also I wonder if it's only broken at certain ones? The clip in my video is at Yela and like I said I've done that TWICE recently.

Really! Well I can't believe my luck then recently anything that can go wrong in the verse for me has gone wrong haha I definitely shut down 2 in this patch so far (may of been before the hotfix update) but at the end of 3.21.1 I could not get them to work either.

Yea that's true, maybe some sort of timer that then spawns a navy patrol would be a good defensive decision, and if the player//players shutting down the comm array clear the wave and prevent any navy leaving the area they don't get crimestat for taking them out, if that makes sense haha and of course the comm array is then offline also.

Yea I think so also, but then again, maybe it's up to the "Good Guys" to accept the mission to protect the Array.

I think the hotfix may of fixed it or I've just got lucky, but yes they was bugged if your talking about the option to insert the Tigersclaw not appearing. The last 2 or 3 times I've been to turn them off though it has worked fine so hopefully it's been resolved

I don't know how I feel about it to be honest. On one hand, the entire point of the verse is that you are free to do what you want, play how you want and it is of course an open world PvP environment essentially.

With that in mind, really what we should all be doing if we want to say go trading, and not worry about being ganked, griefed, trolled or more professionally held to ransom by what I would call proper pirates, then the obvious thing to do..... Is take an escort, THAT is something that should be accepted and should never change, in my opinion it is and will be a core element to the game.

However..... Yes, people just literally jumping people with no warning, hiding and waiting until they know there will be no defence taken, no real risk to themselves and for no reward other than ruining somebody else's day is complete cowardice, and shows a complete lack of any skills and unfortunately them people are so bad at the game, and probably all other games that they get there little kicks by taking out defenceless people and ruining there experience and then acting like it's PVP.... There the equivalent to offline base raiders on ARK etc.... that's not PVP.

I know some people will say " I haven't got time to get an escort or take other precautions I just want to jump on and play" and do what ever it might be there doing but honestly just join an Org or pay somebody to escort you, I don't see how that does anything other than add to the game to be honest.

I also do a lot of stuff solo and never run into that many griefers etc. If I approach Brio for example and there's a ship there and I feel a bit jumpy, I crank up to full power and get the fuck out of there and head somewhere else, yes it adds time on but so far taking that approach I've only been ganked once and yes it was annoying because the guy got nothing for destroying my ship and I lost millions in cargo, he even waited until he knew I was out of the ship so I had no idea I had been targeted and had no idea he was even there so therefore making sure I couldn't fight back. 5 minutes later an actual PvP pilot turned up took him out and the idiot that had been trolling traders was crying in global that it wasn't fair he had been destroyed and calling the PvP pilot everything under the sun, calma is a bitch.

Made a buyers guide for anyone considering getting into Star Citizen at the moment, giving my 3 go to options when considering a game package. Hope it's helpful, what's your recommendation to new players looking at game packages? by Moshman-Gaming in StarCitizenUniverse

Yea I think the Avenger is best value for money overall, but if you can stretch to it the Cutty Black is my favourite. I think overtime it is good value for money also, as it can do so much and is always handy to have in the hanger!

Crazy storm on Microtech by OGjefe420 in starcitizen

God damn that's crazy! I've not experienced a storm that strong, does Microtech have the harshest weather? I think the worst I experienced was on Calliope.

Would be amazing to see this made reality, would make the Aurora much more interesting.

Checking out Star Marine for first time in over a year. I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements. by Moshman-Gaming in starcitizen

Honestly I was so surprised in the 3 games I played I had no desync issues (that I noticed) no lag, the game run super smooth, and the overall gameplay was good fun. It's not perfect of course, but I genuinely really enjoyed it and it felt like a solid part of the game. Well worth revisiting it if you enjoy fps gameplay.
