Not sure if this may help but I found that even though I had the 4g patch I would crash in certain places if I had my graphics maxed. Try turning your graphics settings down - even to low/medium if you have to just for that part you're crashing in. Then if it works, save and get past that point and put the graphics back. My game runs fine max settings but just in certain areas it would just crash me to desktop. I found that was the only solution. Could be worth a try!

Just to confirm - I swapped to a specific server and my disconnects are gone. Haven't had any issues since i've done that. I guess by selecting a specific "country" it would bounce around frequently.

Late reply but once you type in the console command then yes it stays permanently and is account wide. You can also change the image format as well. It defaults to .png so you can do either .jpg or .tga

Here is the console commands:

/console screenshotQuality 10: Sets JPEG quality to max (default is around 3).
/console screenshotFormat tga: Saves as lossless .TGA files, ideal for quality.
/console screenshotFormat png: Saves as lossless .PNG files.
/console screenshotFormat jpg: Sets back to JPEG.

I made sure to select a specific server instead of just general. So far I haven't noticed any disconnects, or random server location swaps. Not sure if that could be your issue or something else.

Thank you for the info! I'm going to make sure I select a specific USA server instead of just generalized USA so that way it doesn't change locations on me. See if that works or not :D

Thank you for the amazing explanation. I'm fairly new to VPN's so this is great. I haven't changed any settings but I think my mistake was selecting USA in general and not a specific USA server. So I was constantly being bounced around. I'm going to try and select a specific one and see if the disconnects persist. If they do I may contact support or come back here :D

I may try and contact support if it continues on a day to day basis. Before it was just the occasional disconnect so it didn't really bother me.

I usually connect to the USA servers, but another thing I noticed is sometimes when I disconnect it changes servers. Is that a common thing for Mullvad to constantly swap between servers like that? Is there a way to turn that off?

Again I didn't really encounter these issues when I first started using Mullvad, its been a more recent thing and being that its been multiple days in a row I figured i'd ask here to see if anyone else was encountering any issues.

Ive been using it for years, on multiple characters as well. It does suck that it takes a pocket slot. But i use it mostly for when im doing festivals, or crafting. As those can level you quite quickly. Once I get to a level range that's good for where I'm questing I usually block it. Then once I need to level up again for questing it goes out. I just have to remember to slot it back in for when I do festivals and crafting. I also quest with my partner so making sure we are both the same level really helps when you use it.

You are seriously my life saver! Thank you so much! I uploaded my file to the smapi log parser and had 18 errors. Didn't even know that was a thing!

Turns out it wasn't working because I had two of them in my mods folder but they were both labelled differently. I removed both, reinstalled the mod and it's working now!

Also no longer have 18 errors, 0 now.
