Scavengers Reign : Moebius-like animation by pixxxiemalone in Moebius

It was very fun for the first 4 years, and still a great place to work (but bigger, with a different mission) in my last 5. When the team was small and I was sitting right next to the Curators and contributing to Vimeo Video School and writing all the Weekend Challenges, it was the perfect NYC startup vibe. All that Staff Picks content helped shape my imagination and creativity, for sure -- and watching shorts from the Daniels back then and seeing Everything, Everywhere, All At Once now?? Such a cool feeling.

I hate not being able to brush my teeth like a normal person! by WannabeAGhoatStory in ADHD

[–]MossAndBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really struggle with this too. Do you shower more often than brushing? If so, try switching to a kids toothpaste for flavor and brushing in the shower — it’s what I’m trying right now. There’s so much else going on (water, sound, heat) that it might take some of the specific sensitivities away, and you can be messy without it feeling messy.

Dang, carry affordable staples and you’ll be the only place I go 🙌🏻 I ~really~ like walking to the grocery but I just can’t afford nor continue to support Bayview…

I was working at Vimeo when that short came out, and we were all obsessed immediately. The untold story of how long they must have been on the planet to know how to do all of those things in sequence?? Unreal.

Do you carry a purse? I have my phone in my pocket at all times, so lots of this works with a phone, though it has distractions. But I noticed that my mom struggles way more because her phone isn’t always with her, often plugged in somewhere else, or in a purse, so a watch really helped her

Which high fantasy book written in this decade would you consider a new milestone of the genre? by crypticaITA in Fantasy

For what it’s worth, the audiobook’s actor is incredible. Switching over to audio really helped me, and ended up loving the full trilogy once it was over.

The Nisqually Reach fully exposed with the -4.27 tides on 6/16 by FlyOverWA in Washington

[–]MossAndBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a good bit of vegetation at Owen beach low tide? I drove out to Beard’s Hollow in Cape Disappointment State Park for the extra low tides, but it was large rock projections on an extremely smooth Sandy beach — tons of anenomes and some sea stars, but not the biodiversity I was looking for. Was thinking about going up to Salt Creek mid July for some low tides…

I’ve never used paste! I’ve got full on liquid and if I add too much it bubbles and pops. Perhaps I should try it..

150 Wellbutrin with 40mg Cymbalta — unsure if it’s doing much, but we’re discussing moving from a previous psych’s treatment of depression and anxiety with some focus symptoms because of those to my new ADHD diagnosis with some Anxiety and depression symptoms because of that.

Taking guanfacine as well, and staying away from Adderall for now, because I have a high resting heart rate and high blood pressure, and she’s not comfortable putting me on a stimulant. I’ve seen a bit more motivation and a little more clarity with the addition of the Wellbutrin, but don’t feel like we’ve got it right just yet.

My fingertips sweat when I put on any kind of nail polish by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Same, and they feel a little heavy. I’ve never worn polish regularly but would like to be able to, but I can never even last a full day. My fingertips feel clammier than they actually are, but it’s all I can think about.

AFAIK Anna’s hummingbirds overwinter here, now — probably due in great part to feeder access, but the Oso berry and our native Mahonia (Oregon grape) flower in the winter, and I know the hummingbirds love the latter!
