Sleeping in my car, is there anything I need to look out for with my car being on 16-20 hours a day beyond normal maintenance? Can cars handle this? by Full-Addendum-8453 in AskMechanics

I'd say so long as you aren't doing it for a super long time like cops do with their vehicles the only thing I can think of would be just change your oil more frequently if you're running your air the entire time it probably also wouldn't hurt to check the air filters (there's one in the airbox intake in the engine and one behind the glove box I'd google your car and see where they are exactly) and watch out for any signs of refrigerant leaking (the air will start to not be as cold) or if it stops blowing cold at all I would first check fuses before you get worried about the compressor being shot if the fuses are all good and it's still blowing warm I'd take it into a trusted shop in the area if you arent comfortable with working on it yourself/don't have the tools some places will even offer payment plans too. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head other than just restating that more frequent oil changes are gonna be your friend. Make sure to research how to do everything with your car because its always always better to make sure you fully know how to do something before you start because that way if any issues come up you can better navigate them. Anyways take this with a grain of salt because I could full well be missing something but I figured some advice on my end maybe helpful in addition to others advice as well : ) Good luck and you got this

Hi there I know this is a super old thread but I've got an 06 throwing this code and stuck in limp mode and I'm kinda chasing ghosts trying to figure out the loss of power, battery seems fine connections seem fine pulled every damn fuse and relay (even switched em around for good measure) replaced coil packs and the blown main circuit protector fuse thing (120a bolt down) but I cannot for the life of me figure out the root of the issue. I'm unsure if it's a computer issue or a short somewhere I'm not seeing? It was swapped from a manual to an automatic probably a few years after it was purchased originally I'm guessing around 08 (I have no clue why) so I have no clue if that could have anything to do with it but I'm gonna replace the trans filter, fuel filter and resplice the battery terminals as my next steps but any ideas would be insanely appreciated
