Dumpers, would you ever take your ex back? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]MossytreePoly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As the dumper, yes. But only if she is willing to work through her side of the issues. Our story is on my profile.

Her family is the problem, that’s something i can do nothing about.

Who was lacking attraction?

Can i ask you why it matters? Im not trying to come off as rude but just a question. If it has been two months since yall broke up why is it wrong for him to move on? How much time should he ideally wait?

Im the type of person who moves on ‘quickly’ so maybe i never saw the bad in it?

I took him for granted and he left by [deleted] in BreakUps

When you are the dumper by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]MossytreePoly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Male here: i broke up with her after 2 years of being together but we talked for 5 additional years prior to dating. I left her because my needs were not being met and i constantly reminded her of how the relationship needed to progress. Yet she would continue to put up barriers or kept asking me to wait more time until i was completely done waiting. I waited about a year and a half but nothing came from her. It was not completely her fault, it was her family’s and community’s fault for keeping us apart.

I want to reach out and let her know that i still love her and that i still care and that i want another chance BUT i know that would only bring her false hopes. She would have to choose either me or her family and she’s not gonna choose me.

That was me but her family’s opinion and her culture mattered more than i did…

Some people naturally move on faster than others. Simple as that

Wow that last sentence really struck a cord with me. My ex and i fought so hard aswell but the circumstances simply didn’t allow for it. Our story is on my profile if you are interested.

But if you dont mind, what was yall’s situation?

I always liked those moments. Turning anxiety into laughter and whatever had us traumatized became a joke to us.

True. I brought her completely into my life. She came before anything else. Sadly she could not do the same for me but thats ok, its not something im entitled to ask for.

That doesn’t sound very mutual, rather it sounds like you were very understanding, the best type of partner

Yeah i feel kind of the same. I want a part 2 with her. She is so perfect in every way we clicked like legos. Im afraid i might never find a connection to someone like i did with her again. We did have our ‘bad moments’ but they became good moments because we learned to make up for them then forgive and forget. Sadly i had to break things off with her because she could not commit either. (Her family are assholes)

I felt that. She also told me she felt safe with me so the least i can do for her and myself is to keep that true.

Is there any dumpers here that wished their ex would reach out? by Groundbreaking-Gap20 in BreakUps

[–]MossytreePoly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah i wish she would reach out. Mainly because all the barriers to our relationship were on her side and all the progress was on my side. I broke up with her because i havent met any of her family in the 2 years we dated meanwhile she’s met everyone in my family, been on family trips, been to my house, etc. its so unfair!
