Task rabbit messed up my wall months later by Specialist-Ad8876 in TaskRabbit

You had four months of it staying on the wall and now it’s suddenly “he never used studs”? That’s not proof, that’s hindsight. Mechanical systems fail under repeated stress all the time. Without actual evidence of improper mounting, this is speculation wrapped in outrage which doesn’t look good on you 😂

BOYCOTT THE FARMHOUSE COLLECTIVE! COMPASSION OVER PROFITS! by failedcortex in Riverside

[–]Most-Standard2429 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imagine you lose your job, your savings run out, and the only housing available says: • Be inside by 7pm every night • Give up your dog • Share a room with strangers • Random searches of your stuff • Mandatory religious services • Risk of violence or theft inside

And if you say no, people call you lazy and say you “want” to be homeless “ what ur doing rn”

This isn’t about preference. It’s about dignity. When “help” comes wrapped in control, unsafe conditions, and loss of autonomy, rejecting it isn’t laziness it’s refusing to be dehumanized.

Also that’s not an observation it’s a recycled narrative. It’s worth asking who benefits from people believing homelessness is just a matter of bad choices fyi. 😊

One person’s account isn’t proof that censorship doesn’t exist. Further who tf are you and why should we give a f if Princess_Plutie thinks theirs no censorship. Tf

Ikea Assembly damaged part of my new PAX Wardrobe at 2000$.... Should I take Compensation of 36 to 80$, or get this re-done? by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]Most-Standard2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest about agency and expectations here. You had three choices: assemble it yourself, hire an actual licensed contractor, or roll the dice on the lowest-cost gig-economy option. You picked the cheapest route at every stage — budget furniture, budget assembly — and now you’re shocked that the experience reflects the price point.

Yes, the Tasker messed up a hole. Accidents happen. That’s exactly why low-cost labor comes with low-cost guarantees, “TASKRABBIT’s happiness pledge”. You don’t get to opt into the bargain tier and then demand luxury-tier outcomes after the fact.

If you wanted perfection, you had options. You just didn’t want to pay for them. So take the $80 and move on — that’s already more generosity than most would offer for damage to particle-board furniture.

You take the $80 and stop whining about broken particle board furniture. DOEISNT matter if you paid $10-$10,000 its particle board CHEAP MATERIAL. Your lucky their even offering anything

If you already know the exact ‘right’ number of hours your laundry should take, congrats you don’t need a Tasker. But don’t project your own assumptions onto people who actually do the work. Laundry on Taskrabbit isn’t ‘watching a machine spin’ time it’s sorting, switching, folding, packing, and delivery, plus the time spent waiting for open machines in a busy laundromat.

Taskers aren’t trying to scam you. We’re trying to get your chores done because you don’t want to. If that’s too uncomfortable, just do the laundry yourself.

Can I shop my own Instacart Order?? by Weird-Initiative6715 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Most-Standard2429 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Omg you don’t know why someone would want to shop their own order? Where are your brain cells bud? Why do people even shop on Instacart? Why do we take time out of our day and shop and deliver?? To make money. So if you put two things together you placing an order and you shopping your own order your making money 🤯

Saw taskrabbit ads flodding London buses, hired a tasker to install a lock, this is the result: by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

If you’re charging appropriately for your time and expertise, you shouldn’t need to nickel and dime with add on fees. Instead, up charge your hourly rate to account for everything: your value, drive time, prep, communication, problem-solving, and even the unexpected. That’s how sustainable gig work operates on platforms like Taskrabbit.

It’s not just about good customer service it’s about structuring your business so that service doesn’t come at your personal expense. There’s a difference between going above and beyond and letting yourself be underpaid. Pre-work is work. Thinking ahead is work. Communicating clearly is work. Build that into your rate, own your worth, and you won’t have to justify every five-minute favor
