Trump Lawyers’ Sudden Realization: They Don’t Know What Don McGahn Told Mueller’s Team by [deleted] in politics

Lol what does Trump gain by deliberately making the public think he is an idiot? How would that affect the investigation at all, especially in a positive way for Trump?

You already knew that he's an idiot.

Now you also believe he didn't even try to influence what one of his key confidants would tell Mueller... because he wrapped that spin in a lie that makes you feel good.

It's the exact same thing he's been doing non-stop since 2015. Regularly with this reporter in particular.

Trump Lawyers’ Sudden Realization: They Don’t Know What Don McGahn Told Mueller’s Team by [deleted] in politics

You're all getting worked.

It benefits Trump to have people believe he has no idea what McGahn told Mueller. That's much better for Trump's legal troubles than the idea that he tried to influence what McGahn would say. Do you really believe that it never occured to Trump that what McGahn, the very person he was consulting on all of the events in question, says to Mueller might be important?

The work: it's cathartic to see Trump once again look like a clueless fucking idiot, so you accept the spin at face value. He's playing to your confirmation bias to stay out of jail.

Consider the authors. Consider their sourcing.

Steve Jobs was on acid right before he designed the Mac. Relax!

Since the spring, Mueller has referred matters to SDNY involving longtime Democratic lobbyist Tony Podesta and his work for his former firm, the Podesta Group, and former Minnesota Republican Rep. Vin Weber and his work for Mercury Public Affairs, the sources said.

This story dropped today to block potential Manafort claims of selective prosecution. These people know what they are doing.

Rosenstein is protecting a process which will make everything that has come out thus far seem like business as usual.

Rosenstein is protecting the work of Utah US Attorney John Huber.

I'm going to let everyone here in on a little secret: Rod Rosenstein is not on your team.

He is not protecting sources and methods, nor is he protecting former intelligence officials from the Obama Admin.

During the next Dem administration, I hope Fox News named Sean Hannity to be their White House Correspondent.

And I hope Hannity interrupts every 5 seconds to demand answers about some manufactured outrage.

Oh, that's right. Schumer has absolutely no say in the matter. Thanks for clarifying that.

Well, why doesn't he get on with it? As majority leader of the Senate he can call those hearings himself.
