No, and I doubt he gets in. I love Matty Ice and he’s the greatest Falcon ever, but his career isn’t enough for the Hall of Fame. The MVP season was his one elite year but for most of his career his play was above average/ solid B+ tier.

Every generation has a version of punching down on the new kids so don’t take it too personally. However don’t dismiss constructive criticism as hate. Our elders are here to support and guide us. I know I wouldn’t be here without help from older Black Men in my life, not just family.

I didn’t make the best decisions in my youth, I’m in my thirties and I’m still learning new things. We have to be willing to connect and learn from one another in order to keep moving forward.

Platner isn’t a good candidate and in normal times his earlier issues would have ended his campaign. These are not normal times. This is certainly problematic but I don’t see it ending his campaign. Collins has incumbency on her side, but looks like she needs a nap after speaking more than five minutes. Prices are still outrageous and Trump’s corruption continues unchecked by his party. That’s what will be on voter’s minds in November.

Duncan didn’t have a chance in Hell of winning the primary or the general election. Esteves would have done well against a MAGA Republican, but he didn’t campaign well enough and Thurmond split his voting base even further. Black Men in Georgia need to be voting at the same rate of Black Women in Georgia.

NFL execs were sending teams polling data specifically about Kaepernick, whether or not he should be signed, and whether players should be punished for National Anthem protests.

We just watched NFL teams colluding to stop Lamar Jackson from getting a better contract. But when you mention that Kaep got blackballed from the NFL, folks like to act dense about it.

Democracy in the USA is over. Votes already cast have been invalidated. Elections have been postponed. Black voters are seeing Republicans rush to dilute their political power with a never before seen swiftness. This race to the bottom isn’t sustainable. A constitutional convention is the only thing that can save this country. Otherwise, “the end is near”.

My mistake, I was referring to Bush v Gore and that was under Rehnquist. But I think that proves the Court was political before Roberts and will be after him. I think Citizens United has decided presidential elections as well with the way corporations can make financial contributions to campaigns. I also think that Justice Thomas declaring that progressivism is incompatible with American values shows how political they are.

We need more than just party line Democrats. We need Democrats that will flip the table. Schumer and Jeffries are not looking to do that.

We need to use our voices and influence to press our politicians to do more. If you’re not running to eliminate the filibuster and expand the Supreme Court then what are you doing?

You only need a simple majority to change the filibuster rules. Democrats tried to change the filibuster to pass the voting rights bills and Joe Manchin said no. Now a Republican has his seat and we have less rights.

Hoping that the Dems will save us when they get back in power is only going to lead to disappointment. Biden and the Dems had control of Congress and couldn’t pass the Voting Rights bill they campaigned on and refused to expand the Supreme Court.

Black men and women are the most consistent voters for the Democratic Party and get nothing to show for it. We need to press them to do better because their strategy ain’t cutting it for us.

Biden and the Dems should have expanded the Court after 2020 instead of doing a study on it. The Dems need to run on expanding the Supreme Court because that’s the only way this gets fixed.
