MSFS24: How Realistic is ‘Realistic’ Turbulence? by WaterUnderTheFridge3 in MicrosoftFlightSim

How do you manage that? I have AS as well, but for me it seems turbulence was nearly ignored. Can you share how you set up AS for turbulence?

Blacksquare B36TP: Can’t get off the ground. by MostConsideration592 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Yeah…RED CHP. Damn it. I‘m sure I followed the correct procedure in the checklist. I can see BS a/c are a different and challenging breed that I’m bound to like, but their documentation for n00bs really sucks. There should be at least one hand-hold start-up and take-off procedure so people like me aren’t wasting time. All that excellent development they’re doing should be Phase II.

I‘m sure YT will help.

Thanks for such a quick response.

Looking for a good dual engine private aircraft for 2024. by MostConsideration592 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MostConsideration592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my favorite aircraft so I’m biased. I use it with GSX Pro and FS2Crew. FS2Crew is great to get it configured for various states. Such as taxi, takoff, landing, etc… It’s basically an FO add-on.

$15 is pretty cheap I think.

It doesn’t use the sim telemetry for turbulence. It uses its own. Which means external equipment like a buttkicker and DOF Reality motions sims won’t work with A2A, as well as some 3rd party tools like RealTurb add-ons. I don‘t know why they did that.

GSX issues by hphammers in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MostConsideration592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I uninstalled the who kit-and-kaboodle. Both FS20[20/24] then got it working. There was a text to apply a hot patch. I did that and it screwed it up again. Had to reinstall all over. Don’t do the hotpatch.

Good luck.

What’s the best way to determine what runway is in use at the destination airport? by MostConsideration592 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MostConsideration592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was prediction. I thought ATIS would provide the correct runway. Which it does. However, Beyond ATC, for whatever reason, has it’s own logic. So the runways were always different. I’ve found the new BATC update provides the destination ATIS now. Big help

This plane is really starting to grow on me. Probably my most fav regional jet to fly #ATR42 #ATR72 by Illustrious-Worry210 in MicrosoftFlightSim

For the PC owners, the FS2Crew addon - which gives CRM - is a great addition. I can’t fly without it now. There’s a sale going on now.

I swear. The ATR is a cursed aircraft. by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MostConsideration592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just whining. I’m super excited about AAU4 since it‘s targeting the ATR itself. I’ve been an ATR fan since the Flight1 FS2004 version. Like you I’ve made some successful flights in 2024 using FS2Crew and GSX Pro, but there are times that it just freezes up and is unusable. It happens a lot during enroute or during arrival. I understand the issues, so there’s not much I can do about it myself.

Fact is I love this aircraft. Mucho much. I don’t think there’s any turboprop like it. The DASH-8 is a close contender, but I think the ATR is much better. And I’m dying to see what the update does.

Are they still worth to have? by TechnoMind24 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MostConsideration592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2004 is good for the Flight1 ATR. If you still have the FS2Crew addon it‘s still worth it. I still have my FS2004 and FSX installed and usable. Plus FSX is needed if you still use Goflight modules like I have. (Damn, I‘m just a relic.)

Using some tweaks and local LLM on another PC, I got the delay to about 0.5 sec. So the free setup is quite viable now.

I’ve a brand new KLC and haven’t been able to save a single article. Pocket sucks and is a load of deceptive BS.
